Job DescriptionJob Title: Assembler Job Description The Assembler fabricates and assembles a wide variety of assemblies and supporting hardware by applying established assembly techniques and using precision instruments, hand tools, power tools, machines, and specialized equipment. This role reads and interprets blueprints, work orders, and related documentation to determine the correct method and sequence of operations, as well as dimensional and finish specifications. The Assembler also maintains accurate inventory records and supports production goals for quality, on-time delivery, and cost efficiency. Responsibilities • Assemble and calibrate production parts according to established procedures and specifications., • Locate and interpret assembly drawings, ATPs, specifications, templates, and work instructions to determine requirements and assembly steps., • Complete all required production paperwork, including travelers, pull sheets, and shipment forms, accurately and on time., • Lift and handle materials and test manifolds weighing at least 30 lbs as part of daily assembly activities., • Mix ingredients, primers, adhesives, and sealants in accordance with specifications and safety guidelines., • Trim, drill, ream, grind, sand, and finish parts using templates, hand tools, and power tools as required to meet dimensional and finish standards., • Ensure all assemblies comply with customer specifications and requirements, including correct shipping details., • Meet established goals for quality, on-time delivery in full (OTIF), and cost targets., • Use E10 system transactions and job-related dashboards, including part and job tracker, to record work, track progress, and maintain accurate data., • Assemble multiple products within a cell or across multiple production lines as demonstrated by the training matrix., • Inspect all final products to verify compliance with customer requirements and shipping details before release., • Assist the team in evaluating trends in labor standards, costs, and process improvements to support operational efficiency., • Provide support for Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization., • Remain current with and complete all required training as assigned., • Adhere to corporate Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and all department-, occupation-, and task-specific safety protocols, including proper use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)., • Perform other duties, reporting, special assignments, or projects as needed and assigned.Essential Skills, • 1–2 years of manufacturing assembly experience required; 3+ years preferred in a regulated industry such as aerospace., • Demonstrated experience with mechanical assembly, including small, medium, and large component assembly., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, templates, ATPs, and work instructions., • Proficiency using hand tools and power tools for drilling, riveting, trimming, grinding, sanding, and related operations., • Strong technical and mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and follow detailed assembly processes., • Ability to meet deadlines, plan work effectively, and manage multiple tasks within a production environment., • Basic computer skills, including the ability to read data from a computer and record test results., • Experience using production or ERP systems such as E10 and job-related dashboards, including part and job trackers., • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team and also perform independently toward shared goals., • Experience with Continuous Improvement or Lean manufacturing practices., • Ability to perform manual lifting activities up to 40 lbs as required by the assignment., • Ability, depending on assignment, to use stairs, remain upright and/or seated for prolonged periods, and intermittently reposition the body to perform various tasks., • High school diploma or GED., • Ability to satisfactorily complete any required pre-employment screening., • Ability to complete any legally required medical exams related to occupation-specific activities and the physical work environment.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, particularly aerospace, is preferred., • Familiarity with gauge assembly, aspirator assembly, brazer assembly, regulator assembly, and packboard assembly processes is beneficial., • Experience with assembly line work, production environments, and meeting OTIF and cost targets., • Welding, soldering, or brazing experience is a plus, especially for very small part assemblies and coil fabrication., • Experience with heat treating equipment such as kilns and diameter testing tools is advantageous., • Hand drilling and riveting experience, including squeeze riveting and measuring rivets after installation, is highly desirable., • Comfort working with adhesives, primers, and sealants, including mixing and applying them to small and medium parts., • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in both assembly work and documentation., • Goal-oriented mindset with the ability to contribute to labor standard, cost, and process improvement initiatives., • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and skills development.Why Work Here? Work Environment This is a full-time, first-shift role, typically working from 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Fridays. The work takes place in a production and assembly environment that includes a range of specialized areas. Gauge assembly involves small part assembly that requires strong attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to read and interpret templates and related documentation. Aspirator assembly focuses on assembly and testing of small to medium parts, frequent use of hand tools, and mixing and applying adhesives. Brazer assembly centers on very small part assembly, working with small hollow tubes formed into coils, heat treating in kilns, and diameter testing; experience with welding, soldering, or brazing is helpful in this area. Regulator assembly involves connecting parts to regulators using wrenches and hoses, reading test data from a computer, and working in a somewhat louder area of the facility. Packboard assembly involves larger assemblies, hand drilling, and squeeze riveting, as well as measuring rivets after installation. Team members use a variety of hand tools, power tools, precision instruments, and computer systems, and are expected to follow all EHS and PPE requirements appropriate to each work area. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
