This is a 3-month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Title : Medical Laboratory Scientist Location: Charlotte, NC Duration: Perm Role Shift Timings: 5x8s, 2200-0630, Nights (1 weekend per month) • Relocation Assistance (if any): up to 4,000, • Sign on bonuses (if any): up to 5,000 Pay rate : $28 - 42 per hour • Pay rate is strictly based on years of experience and educational qualifications. Key Responsibilities • Perform specimen handling, processing, and analysis following established laboratory procedures, • Analyze and test samples using approved SOPs, • Review, validate, and release accurate test results, • Maintain compliance with quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) protocols, • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards (CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA) and safety guidelines, • Identify and troubleshoot testing issues; implement corrective actions when needed, • Maintain proper documentation of all lab activities, calibrations, and maintenance, • Handle STAT and critical result reporting efficiently, • Support inspections, audits, and training initiatives, • Maintain lab organization, reagent tracking, and overall department standards Qualifications • Education:, • BS in Medical Technology (preferred) OR, • BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology OR, • Associate degree in Laboratory Science/Medical Technology, • Eligible for or holding certification (ASCP / AMT preferred), • Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, QC/QA, and multiple lab disciplines, • Proficiency in computer systems and laboratory software Experience • Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience (high-complexity testing preferred), • Blood Bank experience is required 🌟 Key Skills • Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities, • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills, • Effective communication and customer service orientation, • Commitment to patient confidentiality and safety Pride Global offers eligible employees comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance, and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance, and employee discounts with preferred vendors.
