Job Description SUMMARY: The Learning and Development Specialist at UT Federal Credit Union plays a pivotal role in shaping the growth and skill enhancement of our team across all job families. This position is dedicated to facilitating a variety of training courses and programs, ensuring that new hires smoothly transition into their roles and that ongoing learning initiatives meet the developmental needs of our staff. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed. • Facilitate Engaging Training Sessions: Conduct both in-person and digital training sessions with energy and engagement, aligning with UT Federal Credit Union's operational efficiencies, business initiatives, and compliance requirements., • Incorporate Adult Learning Principles: Integrate adult learning principles into training delivery to ensure high-quality learning experiences and effective assessment, adapting content to meet diverse learning needs., • Develop and Update Training Materials: Create and maintain interactive and effective training presentations and instructional materials. Ensure consistency, accuracy, and relevance to organizational objectives, continuously assessing and improving training effectiveness., • Collaborate with Instructional Designers: Work closely with instructional designers to develop and offer impactful training programs, leveraging innovative learning solutions to enhance content delivery and training effectiveness., • Evaluate Training Effectiveness: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and performance assessments, ensuring the transfer of learning and identifying areas for improvement measuring to identified key performance indicators (KPIs)., • Provide Real-Time Feedback and Support: Deliver real-time feedback to participants, identifying coaching opportunities and communicating relevant performance information to management. Provide in-person training support to branches and call centers as needed., • Manage Training Administration: Oversee the administration of key applications for skill-based training, maintaining training records, tracking attendance, and reporting as required by regulations and management. PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: • Training Delivery: Deliver engaging training programs with realistic objectives and compelling content across various mediums., • Collaboration and Communication: Work with subject matter experts to develop content and communicate information clearly and effectively., • Objective Creation: Develop realistic training objectives, engaging learning activities, and compelling course content aimed at improving knowledge transfer and retention., • Content Development: Develop educational content across various platforms, including classroom-based instruction, eLearning modules, self-study materials, and webinars., • Collaboration: Work closely with subject matter experts to assess and identify learning needs, facilitating the development of relevant and effective learning content., • Quality Assurance: Guarantee the delivery of high-quality training materials within established timelines., • Material Preparation: Prepare comprehensive training materials, such as binders, handouts, presentation materials, visuals, and exercises, for use in both in-person and digital training sessions. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree from a four‑year college or university in a related field preferred; and two to five years' technical training experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Articulate, engaging, influential speaker; able to convey both technical and non-technical material in a clear, concise manner. Ability to read and interpret documents such as regulatory instructions, policy manuals, task documentation, and procedure manuals. Exceptional ability to write clearly and concisely in developing training manuals and exercises, as well as in producing routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before various groups. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to draw and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. TECHNICAL SKILLS and ABILITIES: • Proficient in operating standard office equipment and software, including word processors, laser printers, photocopiers, telephones, voicemail systems, email platforms, Internet, and fax machines., • Skilled in the use of audio-visual tools such as Symposium, Smart Boards, televisions, overhead projectors, camcorders, and video projection devices., • Strong expertise in word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet software, alongside other relevant software applications utilized in training environments., • Thorough understanding of credit union terminology and acronyms used in daily communications among staff and policymakers, with the ability to learn and adapt as necessary., • Ability to quickly learn, comprehend, and effectively train others on data processing software, skill-based software, and performance software.PERFORMANCE SKILLS:, • Time Management and Multitasking: Demonstrates the ability to effectively manage time and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion of tasks., • Adherence to Policies and Procedures: Follows established organizational policies and procedures with precision and consistency., • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Capable of engaging with all levels and departments within the organization, fostering a cohesive and collaborative working environment., • Effective Training Delivery: Skilled in presenting information to trainees in a manner that facilitates an effective transfer of knowledge and learning.
