American Traveler is seeking a travel Home Health Occupational Therapist for a travel job in Lakeland, Florida. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Occupational Therapist, • Discipline: Therapy, • Start Date: 10/20/2025, • Duration: 20 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, days, • Home health setting serving adult patients in Lakeland, Polk County, • Day shift, 5x8-hour schedule from 8:00 to 17:00, • Patient population includes med/surg, cardiac, ortho, post-surgical, respiratory, neuro, trauma, and advanced ADLs, • Home skilled visits with a minimum of 6 points per day, typically 6-8 visits daily, • Care provided to Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and commercial insurance patients, • Use of laptops, MiFi for internet access, and portable printers provided, • Charting done via BayCare Forms, BayCare Scheduling, and Ace Timesheet; experience with Cerner preferred, • Self-scheduling of visits and hours based on HomeCare office needs, • Duties include evaluation, activities of daily living training, cardiac rehab, edema massage, feeding techniques, splinting, TENS use, ultrasound, orthopedics, prosthetics/orthotics, standardized assessment, joint mobilization, home exercise program development, and patient/family education, • Responsible for billing, documentation, and safety/injury prevention, • Self-scheduled hours allow for flexibility based on caseload and manager discretion, • Must adhere to a 100-mile minimum distance from the facility to qualify for the position, • Assigned solid color scrubs as dress code, • Facility is smoke-free, • Must pass a pass/fail EKG exam (up to 3 attempts), • Completion of electronic onboarding modules required prior to start and annually thereafter, • Return staff policy requires a 1-year waiting period before returning as a traveler, • No RTO accepted in contract; any time off must be discussed with the manager onsite, • Travelers may float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby\n \n Requirements\n, • Active FL or Compact OT license required; license required if applicable, • BLS certification required, • Minimum 1 year of recent, independent home health OT experience; 2 years preferred, • Valid driver’s license and reliable car required for home visits, • COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption form required, • Seasonal flu shot required or declination with mandatory mask wearing, • Must have experience with OASIS strongly preferred, • Ability to lift and transfer patients as needed, • Cerner charting experience preferred\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
