Position Overview The Logistics Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of GENESYS Systems Integrators shipping and logistics functions. This position is responsible for coordinating domestic and international shipments, managing shipping documentation, monitoring freight in transit, and serving as the primary point of contact between carriers, brokers, and internal teams. Unlike the hands-on millwright team that handles physical loading, unloading, and receiving, the Logistics Coordinator specializes in the administrative and coordination side of logisticsensuring that scheduling, documentation, and communication run smoothly, cost-effectively, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced in freight coordination and international shipping documentation. This office-based role allows the shipping team to focus on operational execution while the Logistics Coordinator ensures accuracy, efficiency, and on-time delivery. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Schedule and coordinate domestic and international shipments through freight brokers, carriers, and third-party logistics providers., • Prepare and process shipping documentation (bills of lading, customs declarations, certificates of origin, and other international paperwork)., • Track and monitor shipments, update ERP and tracking systems, and proactively communicate timelines, delays, or risks to stakeholders., • Act as liaison between brokers, carriers, and the shipping/receiving team to resolve delivery issues, delays, damages, or discrepancies., • Assist with freight claims and follow through to resolution in a timely manner., • Review, reconcile, and approve freight invoices to ensure cost accuracy and alignment with contracts., • Support compliance with international trade regulations, including import/export laws, customs requirements, and proper record-keeping., • Maintain accurate shipment records and audit documentation to meet company and regulatory standards., • Analyze freight spend, delivery performance, and carrier efficiency; recommend cost-saving measures and process improvements., • Support vendor management by building relationships with carriers and brokers to negotiate rates and improve service levels., • Provide administrative and logistics support to the shipping department, allowing millwright staff to focus on operational execution., • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the logistics function, including reporting KPIs and identifying opportunities for efficiency., • Promote and follow company safety and compliance policies related to logistics activities. What Makes You a Great Fit • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred., • 13 years of experience in logistics, freight coordination, or shipping (manufacturing or industrial sector preferred)., • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments, schedules, and documents simultaneously., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with brokers, carriers, and cross-functional teams., • Familiarity with international shipping procedures, customs documentation, and Incoterms preferred., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; ERP system experience strongly preferred., • Demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy, and proactive problem-solving skills., • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
