Job Description JOB DESCRIPTION Employee Relations Specialist Reports To: Human Resources Director Job Type: Full Time GENERAL DESCRIPTION Corporate Hospitality Services is seeking an experienced and dedicated Employee Relations Specialist to join our Human Resources team. This role is crucial in fostering a positive and productive work environment by managing employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and providing HR guidance across the organization. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues with a focus on fairness and legal compliance. Conduct thorough, objective investigations into employee complaints and workplace issues. * Interpret and provide guidance on HR policies and employment laws. * Serve as an HR advisor to line managers and supervisors on employee relations matters. * Assist in developing and implementing personnel policies and procedures. * Analyze trends and recommend solutions to improve employee morale, performance, and retention. * Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal employment laws to reduce legal risks. * Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to support retention efforts. * Maintain accurate OSHA and company-mandated reports on workplace accidents, injuries, and illnesses. * Provide employee benefits guidance and support. SKILLS * Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. * Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion. * Excellent organizational and detail-oriented abilities. * .Highly proficient with email, Microsoft Office Suite, and other business communication tools * Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. * High degree of professionalism and confidentiality. EXPERIENCE • Minimum 4 years of experience in an Employee Relations or HR Specialist role., • Strong understanding of labor laws and employment equity regulations., • Experience with payroll practices and general HR functions., • Proven problem-solving and conflict resolution skills., • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines., • HR certification or related education (Preferred)., • Bilingual (required) COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS (AFTER 90 DAYS) • Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance, • Paid Time Off (PTO), • Annual Performance Bonus, • After 1 year of dedicated service, the employer will provide comprehensive coverage for allied medical expenses at no cost to the employee.
