With the continuous growth of our offices, we have the need to expand our team to include a Paralegal to ensure that every client begins their experience and journey with The Joel Bieber Firm on the highest note. We are currently seeking a Paralegal to join our Richmond office. The Paralegal provides essential support to attorneys in all aspects of legal claims, from case intake through settlement or trial. This role is responsible for case management, drafting legal documents, coordinating discovery, and communicating with clients, medical providers, insurance companies, and opposing counsel. This role will assist with gathering and organizing evidence, reviewing medical records, and ensuring compliance with court deadlines and procedural rules. Key Job Responsibilities • Organize Attorney's schedules and provide timely reminders to meet deadlines., • Maintain and organize case files, both electronically and physically., • Set up claims with insurance companies., • Review medical records, bills, police reports, and other relevant documents., • Monitor progress of client medical treatment., • Coordinate and schedule medical evaluations, expert consultations, and settlement disbursements., • Prepare case summaries and research memos for attorney review., • Assist attorneys in settlement negotiations, including preparing demand letters and settlement agreements., • Track case progress, deadlines, and ensure compliance with applicable procedures., • Draft and submit demand letters, medical payment claims, pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents., • Prepare and review correspondence to clients, insurance companies, medical providers, and opposing counsel., • Ensure proper formatting, citations, and legal accuracy of documents., • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, keeping them informed about case progress., • Coordinate and schedule depositions and expert witness meetings., • Conduct witness interviews and assist in preparing testimony summaries., • Conduct legal research on case law, insurance regulations, claims and litigation procedures, statutes, and procedural rules., • Prepare trial exhibits, witness lists, and case binders., • Coordinate logistics for hearings, mediations, and court appearances., • Assist attorneys during trial by organizing documents and tracking evidence., • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal or paralegal assistant, • Experience in Personal Injury, Worker’s Compensation, Premises, or other injury related practice areas, • Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal certificate preferred, • Knowledge of personal injury law, including claims and litigation processes, insurance negotiations, and court procedures, • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a legal team, • Health, Dental, and Vision insurance, • Short-Term and Long-Term Disability, • Life Insurance, • 401(k) with matching, • Flexible schedule, • Paid Time Off You will work for one of the most respected personal injury firms in the area, with people that truly care about each and every client that we work with!
