About the Role We're looking for an experienced tax professional to join the BetMGM Tax Department in a hybrid role that will be based out of our Jersey City office. The Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for key components of the income tax compliance and tax provision processes. This role manages complex workpapers, assists with information reporting, and helps oversee ancillary tax functions such as sales tax and business property tax. The ideal candidate will collaborate across departments to streamline processes and may contribute to international tax initiatives. Title: Grant Accountant, Local Programs Department: NJTPA Reports To: Senior Manager, Finance and Administration Position Type: Staff Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Senior Manager of Finance and Administration, the Grant Accountant, Local Programs performs a multitude of finance, administrative and accounting related activities necessary for the comprehensive management of NJTPA's grants and contracts, while ensuring compliance with university (NJIT), Federal, State and local laws, regulations and funding requirements. Grant Management -Assists with Local Programs pre-award activities, facilitate/attend kick-off and project close out meetings to ensure conformity to applicable regulations, policies and procedures. -Assists with tracking and processing agency task order agreements and modifications. -Create, maintain and monitor accounting records and progress reports, including procurement and invoicing data, prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual contract/subcontract budget status reports for Finance and Administration Management review, advising of any potential issues or concerns; assist in preparation of contract status reports. -Assists in the periodic review and maintenance on internal processes and procedures for grant administration requirements in accordance with applicable state and federal laws, regulations, and policies. -Assists with Agency audit reviews, as required. -Assist with year-end reconciliations and grant award closeouts, as required. -Assists with other financial accounting, and administrative related activities of the NJTPA as needed.
