Job DescriptionSalary: Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Blade Repair Technician (Tech 3) to lead maintenance and complex blade repairs projects to ensure high-quality outcomes. As a Tech 3, you will take a leadership role in overseeing the safety, quality, and efficiency of the work performed. You will serve as a mentor to lower-level technicians and play a critical part in ensuring the operational and quality requirements are met. This role demands advanced composite repair expertise, leadership capabilities, and a strong commitment to safety. This position requires 100% travel. Key Responsibilities: • Advanced Blade Inspections and Repairs, • Perform inspections of wind turbine blades visually, • Execute and oversee advanced blade repair techniques, including structural repairs, tip replacements, bonding, and lightning protection system restoration, • Ensure all repairs meet manufacturers and company standards, • Diagnose complex damage and provide feedback to engineering teams, • Serve as a lead technician, mentoring and training junior blade repair personnel, • Ensure quality control standards are met in all repair work through inspections and testing, • Manage on-site logistics, including tool and material inventory, ensuring readiness for scheduled repairs, • Collaborate with engineering, project management, and maintenance teams to resolve technical challenges, • Document all activities in compliance with company and customer requirements, delivering detailed repair reports, • Safety Management and Compliance, • Conduct and document site-specific risk assessments, including Job Site Analysis (JSA), • Ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols, including proper PPE use and fall protection measures, • Maintain accurate records of inspections, equipment use, and certifications to comply with regulatory and company requirements, • Leadership and Project Coordination, • Proven leadership skills in managing teams in a field environment, • Ability to train and mentor lower-level technicians effectively, • Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to plan and prioritize work schedules, • Provide technical expertise to resolve challenges during inspections or repairs, • Ensure project completion within timelines while maintaining high-quality standards, • Documentation and Communication, • Create detailed reports on inspection findings, repair work completed, and any follow-up recommendations, • Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and other stakeholders, • Maintain logs of all rope access equipment inspections and repairs Qualifications, Experience and Requirements: • Qualifications and Skills, • High School Diploma or equivalent is required, • Must be at a minimum of eighteen (18) years of age, • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in wind turbine blade repair or composite repair is required, • Strong background in use of suspended platforms and team supervision, • Global Wind Organization -
