Position Summary: The Employment Case Manager provides direct support to clients by addressing barriers to employment and helping them secure and maintain meaningful work. Responsibilities include assessing job readiness, developing individualized employment plans, and connecting clients to job opportunities, training programs, and support services. The Case Manager will also become SOAR-certified (SSI/SSDI Outreach, Access, and Recovery) to assist clients who are unable to work due to disability, helping them access stable income through Social Security benefits. Additional duties include facilitating employment workshops, providing one-on-one coaching (e.g., resume writing, job search, interview skills), and maintaining regular contact to monitor client progress and adjust plans as needed. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to supporting diverse clients on their path to economic stability—through employment or income assistance. It should not be construed as an exhaustive list of all required duties, responsibilities, and skills. • Conduct assessments to determine clients’ employment readiness and identify barriers to employment., • Develop and implement individualized employment plans tailored to client goals and needs., • Connect clients with job opportunities, vocational training, and supportive services., • Provide one-on-one coaching in job search techniques, resume writing, interview preparation, and workplace readiness., • Facilitate employment-related workshops and group classes as needed., • Maintain regular contact with clients to monitor progress, provide support, and adjust plans as necessary., • Obtain and maintain SOAR (SSI/SSDI Outreach, Access, and Recovery) certification., • Assist clients who are unable to work due to disability in applying for SSI/SSDI benefits through the SOAR process., • Coordinate with employers, training programs, and community partners to support client employment and income goals., • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, progress, and outcomes., • Make internal and external referrals to address barriers to employment, including access to transportation, food pantry, housing assistance, mental health care, substance use treatment, and other basic needs., • Uphold client confidentiality and adhere to ethical case management practices. Bachelor’s degree in social work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field required. SOAR (SSI/SSDI Outreach, Access, and Recovery) certification preferred; willingness to obtain certification within the first six months of employment is required. Experience working with individuals facing significant barriers to employment, including those impacted by homelessness, mental health conditions, substance use, or chronic illness. Knowledge and application of trauma-informed care principles in case management or client-facing role. Prior experience in workforce development, employment services, or supportive services is strongly preferred. *Work or lived experience may substitute for education requirements on a case-by-case basis. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Possess superior organizational and administrative skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Ability to work independently and achieve high standards of productivity, achieving deadlines and with superior product results. Strong calendaring, organizational, and document management skills required. Proactive approach to solving problems and communicating to leadership. Knowledge of office management systems, procedures, and office equipment required. Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work.
