Job Description Facilities Maintenance Technician Maintains, inspects, and operates utility systems including but not limited to compressed air, process water, product water, and electrical distribution. Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment in all areas of the site and building related to utility rooms, air compressor rooms, electrical areas, water supply, and offices. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Job Tasks/Duties (not all inclusive): • Maintain compressed air systems and equipment including preventative maintenance tasks, preventive maintenance schedules, and operational data., • Maintain electrical distribution and equipment including preventative maintenance tasks, preventive maintenance schedules, and operational data., • Maintain process water and equipment including preventative maintenance tasks, preventive maintenance schedules, and operational data,, • Maintain product water and equipment including preventative maintenance tasks, preventative maintenance schedules and operational data., • Maintain filtration systems and perform filters changes as needed per equipment requirements., • Maintain pumps and piping to ensure water supply to production lines., • Maintain pumps and piping to ensure water supply to support equipment., • Performs general maintenance around the plant grounds and offices, • Maintain air compressors and air dryers., • Maintain cooling towers, chillers, heat exchangers, and pumps., • Ensures that timely external inspections are carried out to manufacturers recommended frequency for general areas / equipment such as the roof, boiler, air intake system, air compressors etc., • QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Qualifications: • 2-4 Years – Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment, • 2-4 Years – Experience in Position, • Experience may include a combination of work experience and education, • Mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical experience, • Preferred Qualifications:, • 4-6 Years– Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment, • 4-6 Years – Experience working in Position, • 4-6 Years – Experience managing people/projects, • Experience may include a combination of work experience and education Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations: • Ability to work in a high-speed manufacturing environment, • Strong, logical decision-making skills, • Must be able to efficiently manage time and meet deadlines, • Exhibit sense of ownership and accountability, • Establish and maintain effective work relationships within the department and the company, • Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail, • Advanced knowledge in Production equipment related to food processing, plumbing, mechanical, electrical and related systems., • Advanced knowledge in HVAC and ammonia refrigeration systems, maintenance, operations, and process safety management., • Knowledge of parts room organization., • Advanced knowledge in MRO purchasing functions., • Advanced knowledge in EPA, OSHA, and USDA related codes and practices Physical Demands and Work Environment: (The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
