We provide Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and behavioral health services, helping patients discover their purpose and build a healthy community. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator Medical Assistant to join our growing team in a fast-paced, dynamic medical setting. This is a rover position between the following locations: Northglenn, Lakewood, Englewood, and Aurora clinics. Location: Porch Light Health Clinic in Denver Region, CO Job Type: Full-Time Pay: $19 and up, per hour (based on education, experience, and location) Hours: 40 hours per week, some Saturdays required, may include remote evening patient monitoring (phone calls) Benefits: • 401(k), • Dental insurance, • Health insurance, • Paid time off, • Vision insurance Responsibilities and Duties: As a Medical Assistant at Porch Light Health, you will be expected to perform a combination of clinical and administrative tasks to support both our medical team and our patients. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Booking and Rescheduling Appointments: Coordinate with patients to schedule and reschedule appointments efficiently. Managing Prior Authorizations: Submit and track insurance prior authorizations to ensure timely treatment for patients. Patient Monitoring and Communication: Take and record patient vitals, perform injections, and provide ongoing communication with patients regarding their treatment. Insurance Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for insurance-related questions and issues, ensuring proper coverage for patient care. Provider Communication: Maintain respectful and professional communication with providers and other medical staff. Clinic Administration: Assist with administrative tasks such as managing clinic data, filing paperwork, maintaining patient records, performing injections, and ensuring the clinic's smooth operation. Clinic Operations: Assist in opening and closing the clinic, ensuring that all tasks, such as facility cleaning and paperwork management, are completed efficiently. Patient Education and Support: Guide patients through paperwork, contracts, and medical protocols related to addiction treatment. Qualifications and Skills: The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or other relevant certification is also acceptable. Phlebotomy Experience: Phlebotomy skills are highly desirable. Proficiency in Google Suite: Comfortable using Google Docs, Sheets, and other Google applications. Experience with EMR Systems: Previous experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is preferred (at least 1 year). Ability to Navigate Multiple Patient Medical Record Platforms: Capable of learning and adapting to various patient management systems. Strong Communication Skills: Able to communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, providers, and coworkers in a professional manner. Time Management Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a busy clinic setting. Dependability and Reliability: Must be reliable, punctual, and willing to travel to multiple rural locations as needed. Transportation: Reliable transportation is required for travel between clinic locations. Job Requirements: Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or equivalent certification. Experience: At least 1 year of experience with EMR systems is preferred. Previous experience in a medical or clinical setting, particularly addiction medicine, is a plus. Valid Driver's License Work Setting: In-person at the clinic. Rover to Denver Region Clinics Work Hours: 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week. Rotating Saturdays required. Anticipated Application Window - This role is anticipated to close within 30 days from the date of posting.
