About the Role A Regulatory Specialist (RS) at StormTrap supports the growth of our stormwater solutions by monitoring regional stormwater regulations, identifying product applicability, and providing technical guidance to sales teams, engineers, and municipalities. The role requires strong communication, organization, and technical aptitude, as you will help prepare regulatory applications, contribute to technical materials such as white papers and presentations, and represent StormTrap within industry organizations. You will also assist with project-specific design and budgeting needs, collaborate across departments, and play a key role in strengthening StormTrap’s market influence. Salary From $65,000 Location The role can operate from any of our StormTrap offices or remotely. Responsibilities • Identify StormTrap product applicability: advantages and shortcomings in regulatory markets, and effectively communicate and educate regional sales teams to ensure revenue growth within the region., • Monitor stormwater regulatory requirements within each sales region and assist in submitting regulatory applications when necessary., • Provide project/municipality/jurisdictional specific support in conjunction with the sales teams to solve specific problems., • Assist in generating scholarly materials such as white papers, conference abstracts for presentations, webinars, website content, specifications, and technical manuals., • Monitor industry trends or paradigms to increase business opportunities., • Professionally represent the Company and establish industry credibility through involvement within industry organizations., • Meet with engineering customers and regulators to strengthen StormTrap’s brand and product lines., • Support sales team during the quotation process by reviewing project drawings, specifications, and pricing. Assist in generating RFIs when applicable., • Coordinate with the sales and operations teams on projects when applicable. Job Requirements • Bachelor's degree required, preferably Civil or Environmental Engineering, • Experience with regulations is preferred, • Experience with stormwater water quality devices and practices is preferred, • Proficient with Salesforce or similar CRM, Microsoft Office, and other standard office software, • Ability to travel as required to fulfill the duties as defined above, • Ability to accommodate an in-home office and work environment if/when working remotely, • Valid Driver’s License, current insurance, and a good driving record Travel The travel component is ~20% as required/necessary, including corporate meetings, in person project meetings, and industry events.
