PURPOSE OF POSITION: Supports Goodwill’s retail operations by coordinating and growing community-based donation opportunities across the service territory. This position focuses on developing and maintaining relationships with local businesses, schools, community groups, and civic organizations to increase the collection of material goods, while supporting community engagement efforts that advance Goodwill’s mission. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Works under the general supervision of the Chief Communications Officer. SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Community Impact Specialist. QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION: • Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree with additional training or relevant experience required., • Valid driver’s license and must be insurable. SPECIAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE: • Ability to work effectively with community partners, customers, and internal teams and maintain professional relationships., • Excellent oral and written communication skills., • Strong organizational, follow-through, and time management skills., • Comfort initiating conversations with external partners and potential partners., • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment., • Technical and digital proficiency, including Microsoft 365., • Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify creative solutions., • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight travel., • Strong commitment to Goodwill’s mission, vision, and values. ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with individuals who have disabilities and or barriers to employment and participate in the achievement of their goals. Be a positive role model. JOB COMPETENCIES: Build and maintain community partnerships to support donation acquisition efforts. Coordinate donation drives and community collection events. Serve as the primary point of contact for community partners and stakeholders. Identify and coordinate new donation bin placements and servicing. Track and report donation activity, event participation, and performance metrics. Collaborate with retail, marketing, transportation, and donor relations teams. Represent Goodwill at community events and outreach activities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, schools, and community organizations., • Coordinate logistics for donation drives, including scheduling, transportation, and marketing support., • Maintain open and professional communication with community partners., • Track donation drive outcomes, event participation, and bin performance., • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful execution of donation initiatives., • Attend community events as assigned to promote donation opportunities and Goodwill’s mission. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Maintain accurate records and reports related to donation activities. * Support the mission and activities of other departments. * Support accessibility of services and facilities free of barriers. * Adhere to all safety policies and report violations. * Adhere to all ethical standards and maintain confidentiality of records. * Occasional driving for off-site meetings and events. * Other duties as assigned. * NOTE: Must be a licensed and insurable driver. Must pass background check.
