Job Description Job Summary: The Custom Project Manager is an integral part of the Sales Support Team. This self-driven individual leads in Project Management for custom products; defines project objectives for the product, creates and maintains project timelines, creates and maintains sales support deliverables as well as reports on status to meet delivery goals while providing high level customer support. The Custom Project Manager executes the process through swift, sound and complex decision making; following standards and recommending improved policy and procedure while leading projects of Custom Product and escalated standard projects. This role coordinates cross functionally with Inside Sales, Purchasing, R&D, our global manufacturing offices and Order Processing as well as works externally with Outside Sales Reps, Customers, Specifiers, and Contractors. Major Duties and Responsibilities: • Manage projects for Custom Product and escalated orders from order entry through shipping to meet on time delivery performance., • Maintain the Custom Product project schedule via Monday as well as our internal project task platforms with accurate data., • Create sales support documentation including, deposits, waivers, quotation revisions and release of production information to maintain the project schedule. Ensure accurate documentation., • Able to create, update and maintain quotations within SAP and our HubSpot CRM., • Process Quote Reviews in a timely and accurate manner., • Ensure the accuracy of Rep Sales and Commission credits., • Answer elevated Customer and Rep inquires in an accurate, timely, efficient and courteous manner., • Supply air freight quotations to customers as needed., • Work closely with our global factories to maintain bills of materials and routing schedules and resolve technical issues with our overseas engineering group., • Work cross functionally to review and resolve engineering issues during product development., • Review and redline technical engineering drawings to reflect updates prior to sending to the customer., • Allocate and optimize resources in coordination with global factories and budget to meet project goals. Facilitate communication, resolve conflicts and motivate team members. Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies and implement contingency plans., • Execute swift judgement and decision-making practices based on the best available information., • Continuously maintain a high level of product knowledge to proactively recognize and avoid project issues., • Work across departments in order to resolve rep or customer issues concerning project lead times, pricing, and competition., • Perform root cause analysis of complications on projects or company procedures and suggest short and long-term resolution with implementation. Critical Success Factors: • Maintaining on time delivery of accurate delivery of product., • Provide prompt updates to external and internal users based on customer need., • Support and implement initiatives to reduce lead time of deliverables to clients. Requirements: • 5-10+ Years of experience in the management of projects or products of manufactured items., • Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field related to manufacturing., • Excellent communication both verbal and written, time management, managing projects, reporting and organizational skills., • Proficient in project management software., • Attention to detail in composing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines., • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing tasks/demands and get results., • Must have the ability to learn new skills and facilitate training., • Must be capable of problem solving and independently making decisions based on financial and technical requirements., • Must be capable of managing relationships with a focus on long term partnerships., • Must be a team player capable of coordinating and communicating with multiple departments., • Proficient with Microsoft Suite (particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams)., • Ability and willingness for U.S and international travel based on business need., • Knowledge of SAP, HubSpot, ZenDesk, Monday a plus., • Basic electrical knowledge with knowledge of manufacturing/industrial design a plus., • Mandarin speaking a plus We recognize people as our most valuable asset.
