Job Description Licensed Laser Hair Removal Technician / Certified Medical Assistant Location: Baytown, TX Job Type: Full-time, In-person About the Role We’re looking for a Licensed Laser Hair Removal Technician who can also perform the duties of a Certified Medical Assistant in our busy private medical practice in Baytown, TX. Laser is the top priority for this role, you must hold a current Texas Laser Hair Removal Technician license and be confident performing treatments independently and safely. That said, we run a high-volume medical office. When laser appointments aren’t booked, you’ll assist the provider and team with daily clinical operations such as patient intake, injections, EMR updates, phone calls, TruSculpt procedures, and more. Schedule • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:50 AM – 6:10 PM, • Saturday: 6:50 AM – 12:10 PM (twice a month), • Wednesday: 7:50 AM – 12:10 PM (as needed) Requirements • Must live within 30 minutes of Baytown, TX, • Active Texas Laser Hair Removal Technician License (required), • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification (required), • Minimum 2 years of recent EMR experience, • Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy and EKG experience preferred, • Strong computer skills (we use Apple iMacs and iPads, not PCs), • Reliable, punctual, organized, and professional, • Must have reliable childcare arrangements and arrive on time daily Primary Laser Responsibilities • Perform safe, effective laser hair removal treatments following Texas DSHS protocols, • Maintain detailed treatment records and ensure compliance with all regulations, • Prepare and clean the laser room before and after each patient, • Educate patients on pre- and post-treatment care, • Maintain laser logs, perform daily calibration checks, and report maintenance issues, • Assist with other aesthetic procedures including TruSculpt when needed Medical Assistant Responsibilities (when not performing laser) • Escort patients to exam rooms, record vitals, measurements, and EKGs, • Administer injections (including lipotropic and GLP-1 injections), • Prepare and draw up medications as directed, • Document all encounters accurately in EMR, • Handle callbacks, emails, texts, and appointment reminders, • Assist with chart prep, scanning, and organizing records, • Help maintain clinic cleanliness, supplies, and patient flow, • Support providers during minor procedures Why Join Us • Stable, full-time schedule with a mix of medical and aesthetic work, • Fast-paced, team-focused environment, • Opportunity to grow your skills and take on more laser or aesthetic procedures over time, • Small, privately owned clinic, not corporate, where your work truly mattersCompany DescriptionLocated in Baytown, TX, our private medical practice focuses on helping patients feel better and live healthier.
