Job Description Job Title: Wire Harness Technician / Assembly, Integration & Test Technician Job Description This full-time role focuses on assembling, integrating, and testing spacecraft hardware, with a strong emphasis on wire harness fabrication, soldering, and electronic assembly. You will build and test flight hardware for space systems, including harnesses, PCBs, and propulsion modules, while supporting environmental and spacecraft testing campaigns. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about space systems, enjoys hands-on technical work, and wants to grow within a close-knit, highly collaborative team. Responsibilities • Assemble spacecraft hardware and flight components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and written procedures., • Build, route, and terminate wire harnesses and connectors for spacecraft and propulsion systems., • Perform soldering operations on components and assemblies in accordance with industry standards such as IPC and J-STD., • Assemble and solder electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) and perform basic board-level repairs., • Inspect solder joints, PCB assemblies, and harness builds to verify compliance with quality and flight hardware requirements., • Install project-specific sensors such as thermistors and accelerometers on spacecraft hardware and test setups., • Follow step-by-step guidelines for building electrical and mechanical assemblies and accurately document the build process., • Operate hand tools, including torque wrenches and similar tools, to meet product and torque specifications., • Support propulsion module and spacecraft testing, including setup, monitoring, and teardown of test configurations., • Work with engineers to troubleshoot hardware problems, perform diagnostics, and support non-conformance resolution activities., • Conduct electronics testing on components and assemblies using appropriate test equipment and procedures., • Support environmental and vacuum chamber testing campaigns for spacecraft hardware as needed., • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and written instructions to complete assembly and test tasks., • Use software tools such as Visio, Excel, and CAD drawing software to support documentation, layout, and reporting., • Maintain accurate records of assemblies, tests, and inspections, ensuring traceability and compliance with process requirements., • Follow cleanroom protocols, safety procedures, and quality standards while working with flight hardware., • Experience following step-by-step guidelines for building electrical and mechanical assemblies and documenting the process., • Proficiency in harness fabrication, including building harnesses and wire connectors., • Hands-on experience with soldering, crimping, and harness builds., • Experience assembling and soldering components onto PCBs., • Experience with electronics testing of components and assemblies., • Experience with board repair and rework., • Ability to read and follow drawings, schematics, and written instructions., • Ability to operate hand tools such as torque wrenches and similar tools to product specifications., • Troubleshooting and diagnostic process knowledge, particularly for hardware issues., • Ability to work closely with engineers to troubleshoot and resolve hardware problems., • Good written and verbal communication skills., • Good time-management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks effectively., • Ability to obtain IPC certifications for wire harnessing and soldering assemblies., • Familiarity with industry standards such as IPC-620, J-STD, and J-STD-001 for soldering and harness work., • Experience with fabrication and test of hardware assemblies., • Experience with non-conformance resolution processes., • Experience working with flight hardware in aerospace or similar high-reliability environments., • Experience with propulsion module and spacecraft testing activities., • Experience with vacuum chambers and environmental testing of hardware., • Experience with Visio, Excel, and CAD drawing software for documentation and design support., • NASA certifications for soldering, crimping, and harnesses are highly desirable., • Experience with CAD software for layout and documentation of assemblies., • Familiarity with cleanroom practices and handling of sensitive electronic and mechanical components., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in assembly and test work., • Demonstrated ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately. You will work primarily in a cleanroom environment, handling sensitive spacecraft and propulsion hardware under strict quality and cleanliness standards. The role is hands-on and tool-intensive, involving regular use of hand tools such as torque wrenches and other assembly equipment. The position requires the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and to climb a 13-foot ladder when needed to access hardware and test setups. You will be part of a smaller, close-knit organization where collaboration with engineers and technicians is frequent and communication is open. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Littleton, CO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
