As Regional Director, you’ll be responsible for developing emerging leaders, empowering teams, nurturing innovative programs, driving operational excellence and safety, and building lasting community partnerships to deliver the best Club experience. BGCCF’s service footprint reaches five Central Florida counties, and for the right person, the operational scope and territory of this role may expand. The position requires regular travel between assigned Club sites and our downtown Orlando administrative office, so candidates must hold a valid driver’s license and insurance. Reporting to the Vice President of Club Operations, this position oversees the performance of designated Club Directors and their staff with responsibility for program quality, compliance with grant requirements, operational excellence, and a safe, welcoming environment for members. The Regional Director manages and supports day-to-day Club operations across assigned sites, with a primary focus on staff development, budget management, facilities oversight, and consistent delivery of impactful Club experiences. This role provides strategic leadership in community relations, membership administration, and volunteer engagement, while also advising and assisting Club Directors in areas such as program development, resource management, facility care, and personnel matters. At times, the Regional Director may participate in fundraising activities and collaborate with local advisory councils to strengthen community partnerships. By fostering a culture of accountability, professional growth, and program innovation, the Regional Director ensures the sustainability and effectiveness of Club operations, empowering children and teens to achieve their full potential. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Leadership & OperationsProvides clear leadership and direction to Club Directors and supervisors in the daily management of assigned branches.Collaborates with BGCCF leadership to plan, implement, and evaluate Club programs, setting measurable objectives and annual outcomes.Prepares, manages, and monitors budgets for Clubs and special projects to ensure financial accountability and responsible use of resources.Leads and participates in regional and organization-wide operational meetings, providing updates and aligning Club-level priorities with strategic goals.Ensures effective administrative and operational systems are maintained, including oversight of facilities, equipment use, and community/third-party facility rentals.Directs the achievement of Youth Development Outcomes by ensuring a welcoming, safe, attractive, and youth-focused environment across all assigned Clubs. Safety & ComplianceImplements and enforces BGCCF safety standards, policies, and procedures to protect youth, staff, and Club property.Ensures proper documentation, timely incident reporting, and completion of compliance requirements at all Clubs.Oversees facility safety, ensuring properties are well-maintained, secure, and conducive to positive youth development.Manages compliance-related training, maintaining accurate records and ensuring regulatory and organizational standards are consistently met. Program Quality & Strategic PlanningGuides the development and execution of Club programming and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, grant requirements, and standard operating procedures.Conducts program evaluations, member assessments, and annual written reviews to measure program effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.Compiles and analyzes regular statistical, attendance, and participation reports to support organizational decision-making and accountability.Encourages and supports effective roles and functions of local club/county boards, serving as liaison and ensuring alignment with accountability expectations from Board and Leadership.Provides leadership in strategic planning processes, overseeing the development of annual program objectives and long-term operational initiatives. Staff Development & SupervisionSupervises, evaluates, and supports assigned Club Directors and staff to ensure program quality, operational excellence, and member outcomes.Oversees the performance management process for the region, ensuring accountability, coaching, and professional growth opportunities for staff.Partners with Human Resources on recruitment, onboarding, training, professional development, retention strategies, and corrective actions for staff at all levels within assigned Clubs. Consults with Human Resources on progressive disciplinary actions, ensuring Club Service Directors comply with BGCCF policies and procedures for disciplinary matters, terminations, and offboarding of staff, including both voluntary and involuntary departures.Ensures accurate payroll reporting, grant allocations, and labor budget tracking for assigned Clubs, monitoring compliance with organizational and funding requirements.Conducts and participates in staff meetings, delivering consistent communication, direction, and support to strengthen team alignment with BGCCF’s mission and values. Resource & Financial ManagementOversees club financial resources, guides club-level decisions for managing annual budgets and monitoring expenditures in alignment with organizational guidelines.Provides recommendations for purchasing and resource allocation to support Club programs, facilities, and long-term sustainability.Ensures systems are in place for effective administrative operations, facility maintenance, and the responsible use of organizational resources.Builds and monitors operational workflows that support cost efficiency and effective delivery of high-quality services and programs. Community Relations & PartnershipsDevelops and maintains strong partnerships with community organizations, civic groups, and public agencies to expand resources and support for Club programs.Represents BGCCF at community events and key stakeholder meetings, promoting the values and objectives of the organization. Promotes Club membership growth and engagement by maintaining positive relationships and visibility across the communities served.Coordinates Club-level outreach, volunteer, and publicity efforts, ensuring programs and services are effectively communicated to the local community. Team Management/SupervisionSupervises direct reports, positive reinforcement/disciplinary action, coaching, and training to establish high-performing team members.Advises the Vice President, Club Operations, on hiring, training, performance, retention, and termination of his/her direct reports.Implements operational best practices to reduce administrative overhead while meeting functional obligations.Mentors and develops team members to ensure continuous growth and improved performance. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: (Knowledge, Education, Experience & Skills) Education:Bachelor’s degree in business, education, nonprofit management, human services, or a related field from an accredited college or university preferred. Experience:Five to eight years of progressively responsible experience in nonprofit or youth development operations, including leadership and oversight of multi-site programs.Experience managing staff development, recruitment, retention, and performance processes to build high-performing teams.Demonstrated success in facilities and equipment oversight, program planning, and compliance management with a strong emphasis on safety.Prior experience with Boys & Girls Clubs or comparable mission-driven organizations strongly preferred.Proven record of operational leadership, including achievement of grant deliverables, organizational goals, and staff advancement. Skills: In-depth knowledge of the mission, objectives, policies, and best practices of Boys & Girls Clubs and nonprofit organizations.Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.Demonstrated emotional intelligence with the ability to remain composed in complex or stressful situations, exercise sound judgment, and guide others through challenges with professionalism and empathy.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently at all organizational levels and with parents, caregivers, and community stakeholders.Ability to establish and maintain positive, collaborative working relationships with staff, volunteers, community partners, and external agencies. Demonstrated commitment to developing staff capacity, fostering safe environments, and driving results aligned with organizational goals.Ability to obtain and maintain Boys & Girls Clubs of America National Trainer Initiative certification.Must hold a valid driver’s license, maintain an acceptable driving record, and have access to a personal vehicle with current insurance for regular travel between Club locations and the administrative office.Possession of a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a plus. ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS:The position requires working in both indoor and outdoor environments of an office or club setting, which may involve exposure to varying weather conditions.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and policy manuals.Required to operate a motor vehicle.Work in environments frequented by children and families, requiring adherence to safety and conduct standards that ensure a child-friendly and family-oriented atmosphere.This role will have a standard and predictable full-time work schedule. However, all management staff must be adaptable to a dynamic work schedule, including evenings and weekends, to support club activities and events. PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:Physically capable of performing programming activities and club duties on-site, including lifting up to 30 pounds, standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, bending, and reaching.Operates a computer and other office productivity equipment such as a copy machine, phone, printer, and tablet frequently.
