Job Description Job Title: Quality Technician Job Description The Quality Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and servicing returned products, ensuring quality and reliability in all repairs. Responsibilities • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform maintenance and service on lighting fixtures, controllers, and control interfaces., • Inspect returned products both visually and physically; diagnose issues, repair or replace parts, test, and make necessary adjustments., • Use tools such as calipers, power drills, screwdrivers, laser testers, light meters, and heat guns to repair and test products., • Document and report all issues to prevent recurring defects and loss of sales., • Provide timely feedback to the company regarding product failures or performance concerns., • Participate in training, cross-training, and mentoring programs for new and existing team members., • Communicate service findings and feedback clearly and proactively to Service team managers and staff., • Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate safety equipment., • Associate’s degree in electronics, electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering, or 2–3 years of relevant experience in repair/service of lighting, small electronics, or technical products, or an equivalent combination of education and experience., • Ability to interpret technical instructions, follow established procedures, and maintain accurate records., • Strong observation and analytical skills; must be able to diagnose and repair lighting equipment and control systems., • Working knowledge of DMX protocol and lighting systems., • Attention to detail., • Concert lighting repair and QC experience preferred. Work Environment The work environment is an open-air warehouse. The physical requirements include regular use of hands and arms, talking or hearing, frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and occasional sitting, climbing, or balancing. Must regularly lift/move up to 10 lbs, frequently up to 50 lbs, and occasionally more than 100 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5:30 pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Davie, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
