American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: OR - Operating Room, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 11/03/2025, • Duration: 12 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, days, • Hospital-based Operating Room position, • Patient population includes neuro, orthopedic, robotics, and liver transplant surgical cases, • 1:1 patient ratio in the OR, • Shifts are 5x8 hour days (7:00-15:30) with option for 3x12 hour shifts, • On-call required one night per week (7p-7a) and for holidays (11a-11p or 11p-11a), with at least one Friday call shift required, • Floating required to other specialties and sister facilities within 75 miles as needs arise, • Charting is done using Epic EMR, • Performs scrubbing and circulating nurse duties for a range of complex surgical procedures, • Must be able to cover required call shifts, with specific holiday call expectations, • Maximum of 5 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed during the assignment; no holiday RTO permitted, • Must complete required orientation and compliance modules, averaging 2-8 hours depending on specialty, • First time travelers will be considered, • No block scheduling requests will be accommodated, • Not open to local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility, • Candidates must provide 2 supervisory references for consideration\n \n Requirements\n, • Active OK or compact RN license required at time of application, • Current and valid Driver's License or State issued ID and a utility bill in the traveler's name with matching address (dated within the last three months) showing residence over 75 miles from the facility, • Minimum of 2 years recent OR nursing experience, including neuro, ortho, robotics, and liver transplant cases, • Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS; NRP preferred, • Must successfully complete EKG/Dysrhythmia competency testing during compliance process, • Willingness and ability to float to other units or facilities as needed, • Not eligible if previous permanent staff at the facility within the last year\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
