Position Summary and Essential Functions • Partner with the VP of Business Development and Marketing to develop and be responsible for executing marketing strategies to help achieve Nibbi’s business goals., • Be a strategic partner to other Nibbi divisions and departments, such as Prefab, HR, Safety, and Preconstruction and Operations, for converting opportunities into wins., • Serve as a pursuit strategist by leading the RFQ/RFP process and preparing for client interviews., • Ensure the quality of work product is consistent with Nibbi’s standards of excellence; is responsive to the clients’ needs and reflects the company’s brand and values., • Balance strategic leadership with hands-on involvement and a roll up your sleeves mentality., • Ensure the marketing team operates with cohesion, clear direction, purpose and a vision for the future while maintaining a strong team connection and culture. Responsibilities General • Execute the existing marketing plan and develop all future plans and growth needs in alignment with Nibbi’s business goals., • Oversee branding standards, messaging, and the integration of Nibbi’s values in all client-facing materials., • Oversees strategy and content calendar for email and social media marketing., • Ensure consistency and quality across proposals, presentations, qualifications, and corporate marketing collateral., • Oversees all PR planning and outreach., • Work with VP of Business Development and Marketing to develop and maintain the Marketing Plan., • Monitor market trends, client expectations, and competitive intelligence to inform marketing and pursuit strategies., • Maintain accurate data for pursuit pipelines and marketing performance indicators., • Seek feedback and integrate lessons learned into future pursuits and marketing efforts., • Lead pursuit debriefs, client feedback sessions, and post-award analyses to drive continuous improvement., • Participate in industry events and professional organizations to engage with thought leaders and maintain an awareness of trends and market conditions. Proposal Management • Lead kick-off sessions and develop proposal win strategies, including identifying key differentiators and Nibbi value adds, alongside the proposal staff team members., • Prepare executives and project teams for client interviews, presentations, and shortlist meetings., • Responsible for end-to-end proposal production., • Champion innovation in proposal strategy and storytelling., • Develop an effective proposal process, templates, tools, and best practices., • Manage excellence in the quality of content and production., • Ensure content aligns with the pursuit strategy and presents a clear, persuasive narrative., • Ensure proposals are complete and comply with instructions in the RFP/RFQ. Team Leadership & Development • Establish clear roles, workflows, and performance expectations., • Cultivate a high-performing, engaged team by recognizing individual strengths, advocating for growth opportunities, and providing mentorship. Qualifications Education & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Construction Management, or related field required; Master’s preferred., • 10+ years of progressive marketing and proposal leadership experience in construction, engineering, or professional services., • Experience with private and public sector clients., • Experience with growth and regional expansion/division planning., • Understanding of construction terminology and delivery methods, including Progressive Design-Build, Design-Build, CM/GC, Best-Value, Hard-Bid/Lump Sum and other alternative methods. Skills & Competencies • Strong business acumen and understanding of construction operations., • Proficient at marketing strategy, branding, and business development integration., • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills in the AEC environment, ideally for a GC., • Demonstrated success leading complex pursuits and improving win rates., • Strong planning and project management skills., • Navigates change with agility., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, CRM systems (e.g., Unanet preferred), and proposal automation tools (e.g., Joist.ai).
