About the Role: The Senior Manager, Infrastructure & Security is the lead technical owner for the company’s infrastructure, security, and core business systems. This role helps keep our systems secure, stable, and running smoothly by overseeing networks, cloud and endpoint infrastructure, access controls, and cybersecurity. It leads the architecture, standards, and governance for Microsoft platforms such as M365, Azure, and Entra ID, while supporting key systems such as Salesforce, ADP, and Power BI/Power Platform. In addition, this role drives system improvements, integrations, workflow automation, and practical AI tools, while helping prepare the business for future ERP implementation. This role reduces operational risk by establishing strong access controls, maintaining clear documentation, and defining technical decision rights. It also serves as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues and major technology initiatives. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience., • 8+ years of progressive IT experience across infrastructure, systems administration, networking, and security., • 3+ years of experience in a senior-level or lead role with responsibility for technical decision-making, standards, and escalation support., • Experience managing core infrastructure, including networks, endpoints, cloud services, backups, disaster recovery, and access controls., • Experience designing and governing identity, access, and security baselines, including role-based access, privileged access practices, and auditability, with a strong working knowledge of cybersecurity principles such as identity and access management, endpoint security, vulnerability management, and security best practices., • Hands-on experience administering and supporting Microsoft 365, Azure, and Entra ID in a business environment., • Experience with backup, disaster recovery planning/testing, and infrastructure resiliency, • Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation, system standards, and access governance., • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CISSP, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, CCNP Enterprise, or similar Microsoft/security credentials aligned to infrastructure and platform governance., • Familiarity with coordinating security incident response in partnership with internal cybersecurity or SOC teams., • Technical authority & architecture, • Own and maintain enterprise architecture standards for Microsoft 365, Azure, and identity (Entra ID/Azure AD), including security baseline, configuration standards, and decision frameworks., • Serve as the technical approver for infrastructure and systems changes; ensure designs are scalable, secure, and support business growth., • Establish and enforce change governance in partnership with IT Operations Manager. Identity, security baseline, and risk reduction • Define role-based access models and privileged access practices to reduce risk and ensure business continuity beyond any single individual., • Partner with cybersecurity/SOC resources as needed by providing technical leadership for containment, remediation strategy, and security hardening priorities. Infrastructure, network oversight, and documentation • Oversee infrastructure services, backup, and disaster recovery; ensure DR capabilities are documented and periodically validated., • Drive creation and maintenance of authoritative documentation: network diagrams, system inventories, and administrative access inventory; lead knowledge transfer to role-based ownership., • Provide leadership and oversight to network and systems engineering functions, ensuring work aligns to approved architecture and standards. Applications & business systems governance • Provide technical governance and integration oversight for Salesforce, ADP, and BI/Power Platform; ensure integrations, data flows, and reporting ecosystems align to security and architecture standards., • Maintain accurate inventory of software and licenses, ensuring timely renewals and compliance., • Maintain essential project documentation such as schedules, roadmaps, and risk logs as needed., • Help manage improvements and system innovation by securing appropriate resources and providing technical oversight. Leadership & cross-functional partnership • Mentor and develop engineers and systems analysts; ensure clear roles, escalation paths, and operational handoff boundaries with IT Operations., • Stay informed on emerging technologies, industry trends, and compliance requirements to support IT leadership in decision-making. • Office environment with 8am – 5pm CT Monday – Friday working hours., • This role requires the individual to be onsite as needed. (Hybrid role), • Travel to regional offices is required as needed., • May require lifting of equipment up to 50 lbs., • Occasional after-hours or weekend work for urgent requests or deployments. Any compensation range provided for a role is an estimate determined by available market data. The actual amount may be higher or lower than the range provided considering each candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
