Job Description The purpose of the project manager position is to enhance the customer experience by providing technical and “as-required” on-site customer support. Project Management should reduce unnecessary costs for the manufacturer’s representative and the customers that would result from misunderstanding of system operations as it relates to HVAC. The Project Managers support for the customer should allow the manufacturer’s representative sales teams to have more time to focus on developing relationships with their clients and more time to develop sales strategies to secure additional projects and more complex projects. Position Responsibilities: • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential customers., • Opportunity Identification: Identify and evaluate new business opportunities that can drive revenue and enhance the customer experience., • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for both the organization and the customer., • Performance Tracking: Create a measurement framework that monitors and evaluates the performance of projects. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry best practices., • Collaboration: Communicate regularly with Project Coordinators, Service Coordinators and Technicians, Factory Technical Support and customer field teams, ensuring projects are running smoothly and on schedule; Support equipment startup and warranty processes, including coordination with factory reps and Service Dispatch; Work closely with the executive, marketing, sales, and events teams to integrate sponsorships into broader marketing, event strategies, and employee engagement., • Budget Management: Develop and manage assigned project/program plans; Assist with change orders, track scope changes and coordinate pricing with sales/estimating, reporting any discrepancies immediately to the manager and appropriate sales team members., • Documentation & Organizational Management: Prepare and manage submittal packages for engineer/contractor approval; Review drawings, and equipment selections for accuracy and compliance. Ensure all necessary documents and correspondence related to each project is housed in the appropriate location and organized per company protocol – job schedules, meeting notes, action items, technical details. Education/Certification: • Bachelor’s degree - preferably in Construction Management, or construction related degree. Equivalent field experience will also be considered., • PMP certification is a plus but not required. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager with a strong background in commercial and multifamily renovation projects. As a Project Manager at Rafn, you will be expected to lead our construction teams in delivering high quality projects throughout the Puget Sound region. Requirements • Demonstrated experience managing commercial and/or multifamily renovation, seismic retrofit, and/or adaptive reuse projects., • Strong understanding of building systems, phased construction, means and methods, particularly in renovations., • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers and other business partners., • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)., • Minimum of 2 - 4 years experience working as a Project Engineer, 2 years experience as an Assistant Project Manager, and 5 years as Project Manager., • Proficiency with Bluebeam/CAD/Revit/Sketch-up or similar construction and design software., • Experience drafting and administering subcontracts, with a strong understanding of tracking work production against a detailed schedule of values., • Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials., • Demonstrated strong leadership and team management capabilities., • Excellent communication, collaboration and negotiation skills., • Working knowledge of local building and energy codes, regulations, and permitting requirements., • Ability and willingness to travel extensively for project assignments.
