Job Description We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses for the following roles; Circulator/ Pre-Operative/ Recovery room to join our ambulatory surgical team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the surgical environment, ensuring patient safety, and providing support to the surgical team throughout the procedure. This position is essential for maintaining high standards of patient care and operational efficiency. Circulator: Preparing the operating room by ensuring all necessary instruments and equipment are available and functioning. Conducting patient assessments and verifying the surgical consent process. Acting as the primary liaison between the surgical team and other medical personnel. Monitoring patient status throughout the procedure and responding to any changes in condition. Documenting surgical procedures, medications administered, and other relevant information in the patient’s medical record. Ensuring a safe and sterile environment, managing the flow of the surgical team and equipment. Assisting in the orientation and training of new staff members and students. General Accountabilities Oversee the patient’s care during surgical procedures, ensuring safety and comfort. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technicians to facilitate optimal patient outcomes. Manage the sterile field and ensure compliance with infection control protocols. Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of patient care and surgical procedures. Coordinate with the surgical team to ensure timely and efficient workflow in the operating room. Participate in pre-operative assessments and post-operative care as necessary. Educate patients and families regarding procedures and post-operative care. Job Qualifications • Education: Associate's degree in nursing, • Experience: 1-2 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience, • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice. Key Responsibilities: • Post-Anesthesia Care: Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to patients recovering from anesthesia in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery environment., • Monitoring: Continuously monitor patient vital signs, airway, and consciousness levels. Administer medications and interventions as needed to manage pain, nausea, and other side effects of anesthesia., • Assessment & Documentation: Perform thorough assessments of patients' recovery progress, including respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological status. Document all care, observations, and interventions according to facility protocols., • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, discharge instructions, and follow-up appointments. Ensure that patients are stable and prepared for safe discharge from the PACU., • Collaboration: Work closely with CRNA's, surgeons, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care., • Emergency Response: Be prepared to manage emergencies, including airway management, resuscitation, and handling post-operative complications., • Infection Control & Safety: Follow all infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and ensure that the PACU environment remains clean and well-maintained., • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program., • Licensure: Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in FL or compact license., • Experience:, • Minimum of 1 year of PACU or critical care nursing experience (required)., • Previous experience in an ambulatory surgery or outpatient surgery setting is highly desirable., • Certifications:, • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required., • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred., • Skills:, • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills., • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction and team collaboration., • Ability to stand for long periods and assist with patient mobility., • Ability to lift, move, and transfer patients as required for patient care., • The role is based in an ambulatory surgery setting with a focus on outpatient surgical procedures., • Hours may vary depending on the surgical schedule, with potential for on-call shifts or overtime as needed.Company DescriptionAmbulatory Surgery CenterAmbulatory Surgery Center
