Job Description Mechanical Assembler – Day Shift Job Description This role focuses on assembling mechanical components and complete systems used in construction and mining applications. You will work with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to build mobile water tanks, trailers, dump bodies, stationary structures, and other equipment. Using hand and power tools, you will follow blueprints and written instructions to complete high-quality assemblies in a production environment. Responsibilities • Assemble mechanical components, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems according to blueprints and work instructions., • Build mobile water tanks, fuel tanks, coal haulers, bottom-dump trailers, stationary structures, and equipment transports for use in construction and mining applications., • Use hand and power tools, including tape measures and other basic tools, to perform precise mechanical assembly tasks., • Read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedural documents to complete work accurately., • Perform repetitive production and assembly tasks while maintaining attention to detail and consistent quality., • Follow verbal and written instructions to complete assigned work efficiently and safely., • Work in a production environment while meeting daily and weekly output and quality expectations., • Stand, bend, climb, and move around work areas for extended periods while performing assembly tasks., • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe and orderly work area., • At least 2+ years of experience working in a production environment., • Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly in an industrial or manufacturing setting., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and assembly drawings., • Proficiency using hand tools and power tools for mechanical assembly., • Ability to read and understand safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedures., • Capability to follow repetitive work processes while maintaining accuracy and quality., • Ability to follow verbal instructions clearly and consistently., • Physical ability to stand, bend, and climb for long periods of time while performing job duties., • Experience working with hydraulic systems in an assembly or repair environment., • Experience working with basic electrical components during assembly., • Familiarity with pneumatic systems and related components., • Background in general labor or production roles involving hand and power tools. Work Environment The work environment includes both outdoor and some indoor shop settings, and you will need to be comfortable working in various weather conditions, including sun, clouds, heat, and cold. The role involves assembling water and fuel tanks, coal haulers, bottom-dump trailers, and equipment transports designed for construction and mining use worldwide. The schedule is a day shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The work is hands-on and physically active, requiring regular standing, bending, and climbing while using hand and power tools in a production setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Albuquerque, NM. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
