The Occupational Therapist is responsible for pediatric assessments, consultations, and therapies in the area of Occupational Therapy. The Occupational Therapist will provide their services in a generally accepted manner while adhering to the code of ethics of the profession, and in accordance with all applicable state laws. Benefits available for OTs working with ALP: • Competitive Salary based on experience and education, • A clear path to make values-based clinical decisions based entirely on what is best for your client and family, • Generous health insurance package, 401(k) Retirement Program with employer match, and employer-paid short-term disability, • Dependent Care FSA which can be used towards childcare, • Employer paid short term disability in ALL states, • 8 paid Holidays and 15 days of PTO, • Career advancement opportunities with continued support in new roles, • Unlimited referral bonuses, • Support Center resources designed to address your administrative needs, including client intake, recruiting, payroll, HR, billing, credentialing/contracting, and scheduling, • Electronic data collection Job Duties: • Assess, consult, plan and conduct treatment for pediatric clients and their families, • Continuously evaluate client needs, plan and problem solve in order to help each client reach his or her potential, • Communicate and collaborate with other professionals, paraprofessionals, and parents in order to provide an effective program, • Supervise appropriate staff and student interns effectively within scope of practice, as needed (e.g., COTA, Behavior Technician, OT student intern), • Document all consultation and treatment sessions on a daily basis, as well as provide appropriate documentation to treatment team, • Provide assessment, progress and discharge reports in a timely manner, • Maintain client files and treatment logs in an organized manner to include appropriate documentation to team, • Communicate with Directors regarding any changes in status, problems, or intent to change any aspect of services already in place; and, to discuss same with Directors prior to communicating with client’s family or referral source, • Attend and participate in meetings as required (e.g., staff meetings, team meetings, IEP/IFSP meetings)., • Develop instructional materials and evaluate commercially produced materials for use in treatment, • Keep current on latest developments in field of occupational therapy by attending professional seminars, reading current literature, and participating in professional organizations., • Plan, coordinate and conduct in-service trainings for staff, • Keep careful record of billable hours which will require parent signature, • Stay abreast of funding resource changes which impact reporting and/or treatment requirements, • Perform other related duties as assigned The Basics: • Compensation: $48.00 - $58.00 per hour, • Job Type: Part-Time, but willing to consider full-time temporarily Requirements: • Bachelor’s or higher in Occupational Therapy, • State Licensure in California as an Occupational Therapist, • At least 1 year of experience in pediatrics Children’s Learning Connection and A Is For Apple are divisions of Autism Learning Partners.
