Job DescriptionWest Tulsa Manufacturing Company Seeking Blaster Duties • Supplies and maintains the correct amount and type of shot for efficient blasting operations., • Operates shaker to remove dust from collector canvas and ensures proper exhaust of scale and debris., • Monitors equipment operation to confirm it is functioning as required., • Ensures proper lubrication of bearings and gear cases by maintenance personnel., • Arranges rods on the feed table and observes proper feeding into the machine., • Checks unloaded rods for proper positioning in cradles., • Visually inspects rods for straightness and surface condition, replacing tags on bundles when necessary., • Reports unusual conditions in equipment, operation, or materials to supervisor., • Works independently with minimal supervision while maintaining reasonable production output., • Keeps machines and work areas clean, safe, and organized.Skills & Knowledge, • High school diploma or equivalent required., • Ability to read, write, add, subtract, and follow written and verbal instructions., • Two months of related experience or equivalent training on the job.Responsibilities, • Workmanship: Performs duties under minimal supervision but maintains quality standards., • Materials/Products: Exercises care to avoid waste, damage, or scrapping of partially finished rods., • Equipment: Ensures careful use of machines and tools to prevent damage., • Safety: Responsible for basic safety practices to prevent minor injuries.Effort, • Requires continuous standing and frequent walking on even surfaces., • Occasional climbing, bending, stooping, twisting, gripping pliers, and torqueing with hand tools., • Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs occasionally, 25 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs constantly.Working Conditions, • Work performed in a heated, ventilated shop environment., • Occasional exposure to dirt, grease, dust, noise, and other disagreeable elements.
