As a Manufacturing Buyer at ScriptPro, you’ll ensure our production teams have the materials they need to build innovative robotics and technology. Your work directly supports product quality and delivery by managing inventory, sourcing components, and coordinating with suppliers. This role is key to keeping our manufacturing operations efficient and impactful. Job Summary: The Manufacturing Buyer plays a key role in supporting the efficient operation of our manufacturing processes by sourcing and procuring technology and robotics-related materials. This role involves managing material inventory levels, contracts, coordinating with suppliers, and building strong working relationships across departments. Success in this position requires attention to detail, effective communication, and a solid understanding of supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment. Reporting Relationship: Manager, Purchasing Shift: Generally, Monday – Friday 8am-5pm. This role is an onsite role with some flexibility to work remotely on occasion. Regular, punctual, and predictable attendance is an essential function of every job at ScriptPro. Scope of the Role: • Run the Reorder Report weekly or as necessary to order parts required for production., • Manage purchase orders including confirming, tracking, and updating order status., • Work closely with vendors to negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery terms., • Follow up with vendors frequently and/or as needed to verify delivery times and resolve issues., • Work with the Planning Department to confirm and maintain order policies of assigned product lines and parts., • Work with Quality Assurance on any issues regarding the quality of parts received from vendors., • Work with the Warehouse Team on any related inventory issues for Purchasing., • Work with Engineering on special projects and new product introductions., • Work with Accounts Payable on invoicing issues., • Manage and process Engineering Change Notices through the purchasing process by acquiring quotes or sending Effectivity Letters., • Review and maintain Expected Delivery Reports and other procurement-related reports to ensure accuracy and readiness for production., • Participate in supplier selection and qualification processes to support sourcing strategies., • Maintain and manage supplier agreements, terms, and pricing documentation., • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the purchasing function., • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve part quality issues and align material needs with production plans., • Work with Manager, Purchasing on special projects., • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Supply Chain, or related field), • 1-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment preferred, • Proven ability to manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing and terms, and coordinate material deliveries, • Experience working cross-functionally with planning, engineering, quality, and warehouse teams, • Experience using ERP systems (Oracle preferred), • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, • Able to use analytical thinking to determine supply chain needs, • Strong written and verbal communication skills, • High attention to detail and accuracy, • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships with co-workers and vendors, • Demonstrated negotiation and problem-solving skills, • Must have high-speed reliable internet access with a hard-wired connection, • Must have a distraction free home office workspace At ScriptPro, we believe that our employees are our greatest asset.
