Job Description JOB OVERVIEW: The Regional Resident Manager oversees operations for our Colorado portfolio, consisting of two Marriott limited-service properties. The successful candidate will play a pivotal leadership role in maintaining high service standards, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring financial accountability across both locations. Residency in one of the markets is allowed but not mandatory. Travel between properties is required based on operational needs. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Oversee and support the operations of both Marriott limited-service properties in Colorado, allocating time based on individual property performance and business needs., • Act as the primary decision-maker when on-site, stepping in to lead operational shifts and provide real-time solutions when necessary., • Serve as the escalation point for property-level challenges and critical guest issues, ensuring swift and effective resolution., • Provide leadership, mentorship, and accountability to each property’s General Manager and leaders., • Cultivate a performance-driven culture through regular coaching, goal setting, and feedback loops., • Ensure staffing strategies align with forecasted demand and service expectations., • Maintain full responsibility for achieving portfolio-wide financial goals, including profitability, labor costs, and cost control across departments., • Perform daily revenue reconciliation, monitoring occupancy, rate, and RevPAR against forecast and budget., • Use property performance data to drive operational strategy, allocate resources, and identify opportunities for efficiency., • Ensure both properties meet or exceed Marriott brand standards in service, cleanliness, safety, and condition of the physical product., • Conduct routine inspections and audits to identify opportunities for improvement in guest satisfaction and operational procedures., • Lead or attend regular guest service recovery meetings, guest complaint reviews, and service-related training., • Attend and contribute to weekly virtual board meetings, providing detailed updates on property performance, staffing, service levels, and financial status., • Maintain regular communication with corporate leadership, including direct reporting to the corporate office leadership., • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on trends, challenges, and highlights observed in day-to-day operations., • Be available for weekend oversight and on-call support during peak periods, including high occupancy weekends and when groups are in-house., • Travel frequently between properties, maintaining a strong leadership presence at both locations. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS • Must have previous experience as a General Manager of a Marriott-branded limited-service property., • Proficiency in Marriott systems, including FOSSE and MARSHA (DOS-based reservations system), is required., • Deep understanding of Marriott brand standards, reporting procedures, and quality assurance programs., • Proven success in managing hotel operations with responsibility for P&L performance, staffing, and guest satisfaction., • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams across multiple sites., • Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data to drive results., • Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to operate with minimal supervision., • Technologically savvy with the ability to attend and report in virtual meetings regularly., • Must be flexible with work hours and available during weekends as business needs dictate., • Willing and able to travel frequently between properties; travel expenses will be reimbursed. Schedule The work schedule is based on the demands of the business you must be available days, nights, weekends, and/or holiday availability are required. Physical, Mental and Environmental & Technical Demands Fast paced environment, multiple tasks to be handled under time constraint. Must be able to bend, crouch, kneel, and twist in the work area. Must be able to maneuver around property. Must be able to sit, walk and stand for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to operate a computer, telephone, and copier. Must have manual dexterity to operate all office equipment. Grooming All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
