Job DescriptionSalary: $24.10 Hourly DOE A Legacy Worth Being Part Of "For three generations, we have valued every detail." Over sixty years ago, a family in the Pacific Northwest started building custom cabinets by hand treating every piece as if it were going into their own home. That philosophy didn't just survive the decades. It became us. DeWils Industries, Inc. is a third-generation, family-owned manufacturer based right here in Vancouver, WA, and we are still driven by that same unwavering promise: exceptional quality, uncompromising craftsmanship, and a relentless pursuit of getting it right. We combine the craftsmanship of yesterday with the technologies of today building products designed to outlast generations. That means the people on our shop floor matter enormously to us. Every department. Every role. Every day. That person could be you. This Isn't a One-Trick Role Some people thrive doing one thing really well. That's great and we have roles for those people too. But this posting is for a different kind of person: someone who wants to move, learn, adapt, and grow across the entire shop. Someone who sees variety as fuel, not distraction. As a Shop Craftsman, you'll rotate and contribute where you're needed most supporting multiple departments as production demands shift. You'll build broad knowledge of how a DeWils cabinet comes to life from start to finish, developing skills that make you genuinely valuable anywhere on the floor. • Work across departments as needed no two weeks look exactly the same, • Learn the processes, standards, and rhythm of each area you support, • Follow department-specific training and established procedures doing it the right way first, • Maintain quality standards in every department you work in, • Keep workstations clean, safe, and organized at all times, • Communicate proactively with team leads as you transition between areas, • Build a well-rounded skill set that opens doors for your growth here Who We're Looking For This role isn't for everyone and that's the point. We're looking for someone who is genuinely energized by variety, who takes pride in being dependable in any situation, and who wants to understand how the whole shop works not just their corner of it. • Ability to read a tape measure the one technical skill we need you to walk in with, • Genuine enthusiasm for learning multiple processes and departments, • Adaptability you adjust quickly, you follow new instructions well, and you don't get frustrated when plans change, • A team-first mindset you show up, you communicate, you do your part wherever you're placed, • Reliability your team leads are counting on you to show up ready in whatever department needs you, • Attention to detail quality doesn't change just because you're in a new area, • A growth mindset you want to get better, and you embrace being a learner, • Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 lbs Prior woodworking or manufacturing experience is a plus but not required. We hire for character, adaptability, and drive. We'll build the skills together. We run on Lean manufacturing principles come ready to learn our way first, and grow into the bigger picture over time. A Learning Culture Built on Continuous Improvement At DeWils Industries, we operate on Lean manufacturing principles focused on reducing waste, improving flow, and delivering the highest quality product as efficiently as possible. We'll be honest: we're still growing in our understanding of Lean's tools, and that journey is one we take seriously as a team. When you join us, the most important thing you can do is come ready to learn our way first. Every department has systems and standards developed over decades, and understanding them deeply is the foundation everything else is built on. We'll invest real time in teaching you how we do things and why. As you grow into your role and build a track record across departments, we absolutely want to hear what you're observing. Team members who understand our processes are the ones best positioned to help us get even better when the time is right and the roots are down. Our Core Values Live Them, Don't Just List Them These aren't words on a wall. They're how we make decisions, how we treat each other, and how we show up every single day. If these values resonate with you, you'll fit right in. Accountability We own our work the wins and the mistakes. When something isn't right, we face it, fix it, and learn from it. Teamwork Nobody builds a great cabinet alone. We show up for each other and understand that our collective success depends on every person doing their part. Integrity We do what we say and say what we mean. Honest with each other and with every customer who trusts us with their home. Quality Quality isn't a department it's a mindset. We hold ourselves to a standard that would make the original DeWils family proud. Respect We treat every person teammate, customer, or supplier the way we want to be treated.
