Job Description POSITION: Maintenance Associate LOCATION: North Kansas City, Missouri REPORTS TO: Maintenance Supervisor FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt / Hourly COMPANY OVERVIEW C&C Produce is the Midwest’s largest produce wholesaler, delivering top-quality fresh produce since 1992. We’re growing and seeking a skilled Maintenance Associate with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing experience to help keep our facilities running at peak performance. POSITION OVERVIEW The Maintenance Associate plays a critical role in maintaining and repairing the company’s warehouse facility, equipment, and building systems. This role focuses on diagnosing and repairing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general mechanical issues, ensuring that production operations run safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly skilled in facility maintenance, and thrives in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems, including HVAC, electrical panels, lighting, and plumbing., • Troubleshoot and repair production and warehouse equipment, conveyor belts, dock doors, compressors, and refrigeration systems., • Conduct basic carpentry, painting, and minor building repairs as needed., • Monitor and maintain tools, materials, and spare-part inventories; order supplies when required., • Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company, OSHA, and environmental regulations., • Work collaboratively with the Maintenance Supervisor to prioritize and complete work orders., • Attend scheduled safety meetings, training sessions, and staff meetings., • 3+ years of facility maintenance experience in a warehouse, foodservice, or manufacturing environment., • Hands-on experience with HVAC systems, electrical troubleshooting, and plumbing repairs is required., • Proven ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and building systems., • Experience using hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment., • Basic knowledge of reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals., • Strong problem-solving, time-management, and communication skills., • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and climbing ladders throughout the shift., • Forklift experience a plus (certification preferred but not required)., • Competitive hourly pay, • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits, • Paid vacation and PTO, • Opportunities for growth and advancement within our expanding company To provide the highest quality, best-valued produce in the Midwest, executed by passionate teammates who exceed our customers’ expectations the first time, every time.
