Job DescriptionDescription: About Us: Premier Private Jets is a distinguished provider of comprehensive business aviation services, including Private Jet Charter, Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), and Fixed Base Operations (FBO). With a commitment to excellence, we ensure our clients receive unparalleled service across all divisions. We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Controller. The individual will be based in Stuart Florida and report to the CEO. The Controller will lead the accounting team and manage day-to-day accounting, managerial accounting, and oversee financial activities. As Controller, you will manage and supervise all aspects of accounting for Charter operations, Maintenance Repair Operations (MRO) and Fixed Based Operations (FBO) in Florida, Ohio and Michigan. The Controller will assist the CEO with the development of internal control policies, procedures, and financial reporting and planning. This position is not remote based and must be able to work onsite in Stuart. Duties and Responsibilities: • Manage all aspects of accounting, billing, financial statements, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, budgeting, tax compliance, revenue recognition, and various special projects and analyses for our operations., • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and operations., • Oversee payments processed for debts, loans, and other large transactions., • Monitor cash and funding balances., • Keep an organized system of accounts, statements, transactions, payments, and debts., • Prepare monthly financial reports to include financial statements and monthly variance analysis reports., • Manage the annual budgets and forecasts., • Oversight of risk management regarding insurance coverage., • Work to reconcile accounting inaccuracies or imbalances., • Define, benchmark, and implement operational best practices., • Complying with all local, multiple states, and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings, and reporting including coordination with outside CPA firms and outside professionals., • Coordinate with and prepare reports for senior management., • Able to work well with senior management as well as manage, mentor and lead accounting staff. Benefits: • Medical, dental, vison, and life Insurance, • Supplemental life insurance, • Short-term and long-term disability, • 401k with Company Match, • PTO and company paid sick days, • Company paid holidaysRequirements:, • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field (required)., • Strong preference for candidates with corporate aviation experience, preferably in the areas of charter, maintenance, avionics, interiors, paint and FBO., • Candidate will have 7 or more years of accounting experience., • Prior experience in public accounting (preferred)., • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license (preferred)., • Excellent computer skills: experience with Microsoft Business Central ERP, and SAP Concur preferred. Microsoft Excel advanced experience required., • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills., • Analytical ability to develop and implement improvements or recommendations., • Detailed oriented and highly organized., • Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks., • Excellent critical thinking skills.
