Job Description Job Summary The Training and Compliance Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, oversight, and continuous improvement of all training, compliance, and quality assurance programs for Tact Tech Security Solutions. This role ensures that all security personnel meet or exceed company standards, contractual obligations, licensing requirements, and performance expectations in accordance with Florida statutes, administrative rules, and client requirements. The Training and Compliance Manager oversees the field training program, new hire onboarding and orientation, and ongoing in-service training while leveraging operational data, performance evaluations, and reporting tools to monitor guard performance, ensure KPIs are met, and drive continuous improvement. This position also manages the intake of complaints and incidents, conducts and supports preliminary investigations related to officer conduct, performance, and property damage, and presents objective findings and recommendations to management and executive leadership to support accountability, risk mitigation, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a self-directed professional who operates with a high degree of autonomy, exercises sound judgment in daily and strategic decision-making, and communicates risks, training needs, and compliance matters to executive leadership through structured and periodic reporting. Key Responsibilities Training Program Development & Management * Develop, maintain, and update training curricula, lesson plans, testing materials, and training schedules. * Design, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive training programs for all security personnel, including onboarding, field training, and in-service training. * Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness using operational data, performance metrics, and reporting tools. * Ensure training programs align with company standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations. Field Training Oversight * Assign, monitor, and evaluate Field Training Officers (FTOs) to ensure consistency, accountability, and adherence to established training standards. * Review and approve field training reports, daily observation reports, and competency assessments prior to authorizing independent assignment. * Establish performance criteria and evaluation standards for both FTOs and trainees. * Identify training deficiencies and implement corrective development plans to ensure operational readiness and risk mitigation. * Make formal recommendations to management regarding guard readiness, reassignment, retraining, or separation based on training outcomes, competency assessments, and performance evaluations. * Collaborate closely with operations, HR, and management to ensure alignment between training programs, field operations, and disciplinary processes. Compliance & Quality Assurance Oversight * Develop, enforce, and monitor company policies, post orders, and quality assurance standards. * Ensure operational compliance with client contracts, service agreements, and regulatory requirements across all assigned sites. * Conduct audits, inspections, and assessments to ensure personnel meet licensing, contractual, and regulatory requirements. * Maintain accurate records of training, certifications, compliance documentation, and performance metrics. * Monitor adherence to federal, state, and local laws, as well as industry regulations relevant to security operations. Incident Management & Investigations * Receive, document, and log all complaints related to security officer conduct, performance, or compliance. * Conduct preliminary investigations, including reviewing reports, logs and videos, interviewing involved parties, and collecting statements and supporting documentation when applicable. * Analyze operational data to determine root causes and corrective actions. * Prepare clear, objective investigative summaries and findings. * Present investigative outcomes and recommendations to management and executive leadership for further action. * Provide guidance and direct support to Site Supervisors and management in conducting investigations related to complaints, property damage, performance deficiencies, and policy violations, ensuring thorough documentation, regulatory compliance, and consistent application of company standards. * Support leadership in maintaining a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement. Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement * Establish, monitor, and report on KPIs related to guard performance, training completion, quality assurance outcomes, compliance adherence, and client satisfaction. * Analyze trends in incidents, complaints, and performance deficiencies to drive strategic improvements. * Generate structured reports for executive leadership detailing training, compliance, and operational performance. * Implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance competency, accountability, and service quality. * Utilize TrackTik reports, dashboards, and analytics to monitor guard performance, attendance, incident reporting, and compliance metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations to management and executive leadership. Operational Collaboration & Support * Collaborate with site supervisors, HR, and management to identify training needs, performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement. * Provide guidance on compliance, corrective actions, and best practices to staff and leadership. * Maintain accurate records of all training, certifications, and compliance documentation. Reporting & Executive Analysis * Generate regular and ad hoc reports on training completion, guard performance, compliance adherence, incident trends, and quality assurance outcomes. * Communicate findings, trend analyses, and strategic recommendations to management and executive leadership to inform operational and business decisions. * Prepare structured summaries for leadership meetings, audits, and client reviews as required. Qualifications Required * Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or a minimum of 2 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. * Minimum of 5 years of experience in training, compliance, or quality assurance management, preferably in security or a regulated service industry. * Strong knowledge of security operations, Florida statutes, licensing requirements, and regulatory compliance. * Experience with training management, operational data analysis, performance evaluations, and reporting tools. * Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. * Proven ability to develop, implement, and evaluate effective training programs. * Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Strong language skills, including the ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. * Ability to write clear and professional reports, business correspondence, training materials, and procedure manuals. * Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public. * Strong reasoning ability, including the capacity to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. * Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical, diagrammatic, or procedural form, and to work with multiple abstract and concrete variables simultaneously. * Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). * Experience with TrackTik or similar platform for guard performance monitoring, incident reporting, compliance tracking, and dashboard analytics. * Familiarity with WhenIWork or similar scheduling tools for managing shift coverage and attendance. * Experience with ADP Workforce Now (WFN) or equivalent HR/timekeeping systems to access employee records, track training completion, and monitor compliance. * A valid Florida driver’s license. * A valid Security Guard D License or the ability to obtain one within six months of hire. Preferred * Experience in private security, law enforcement, or corporate compliance and training. * Previous experience managing multi-site training, compliance, or quality assurance programs. * Relevant certifications in training, compliance, or security (e.g., CPTED, OSHA, state-mandated security certifications, ASIS APP credential). * A valid Security Guard G License or the ability to obtain one within six months of hire.
