Role Summary We are seeking a highly commercial and operational leader with a strong background in Domains, Hosting, Cloud Infrastructure, Digital Platforms, SaaS, or adjacent technology services. Alternatively, candidates may come from leading strategy consulting firms such as McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Roland Berger, Strategy, Oliver Wyman, or similar, provided they have subsequently built significant leadership experience within technology-driven businesses. The Commercial General Manager will lead the full commercial and operational strategy of the organization, driving scalable growth across marketing, sales, customer acquisition, retention, and revenue performance. This executive will be responsible for a large‑scale technology business operating in a fast‑paced, data‑driven environment, with particular emphasis on mass marketing, performance marketing, digital customer acquisition, and commercial excellence. The role includes full responsibility for local go‑to‑market execution, adaptation of global initiatives to the Spanish market, and close collaboration with central functional teams. The successful candidate will combine strategic vision with a highly hands‑on leadership style and will have demonstrated success scaling technology businesses and leading large organizations. A key component of the role is the leadership and development of an organization of up to 300 employees while driving significant growth in revenue, profitability, EBITDA, and market share. The General Manager is responsible for monitoring market trends, identifying business opportunities, managing shared P&L performance, and ensuring long‑term sustainable growth. The ideal candidate is strategic yet highly operational, entrepreneurial, resilient, and comfortable operating in a fast‑moving technology environment. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Develop and execute long‑term growth strategies to achieve company objectives Lead local marketing and sales strategy and execution, from branding and customer acquisition to retention, cross‑selling, and upselling Drive market expansion and identify new revenue streams Translate corporate strategy into measurable business outcomes Commercial Leadership Own customer acquisition, revenue growth, customer retention, and profitability targets Lead large‑scale mass marketing and performance marketing initiatives Optimize customer lifetime value and commercial effectiveness through data‑driven decision making Drive pricing, product positioning, and commercial excellence initiatives Operational Management Oversee localization efforts to adapt go‑to‑market approaches to local market requirements Collaborate with central teams to leverage group resources and strengthen local market positioning Coordinate and prioritize strategic projects and transformation initiatives Ensure operational excellence across all business functions Team Leadership & Development Lead, inspire, and develop a large interdisciplinary organization of approximately 300 employees Build and manage high‑performing commercial, marketing, and operational teams Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement Develop future leadership talent within the organization Financial Management Assume shared P&L responsibility for the local business Monitor and analyze key financial and operational performance indicators Identify cost efficiencies and revenue growth opportunities Drive sustainable EBITDA and profitability improvements Must-Have Requirements Leadership experience within Domain Registration, Web Hosting, Cloud Services, SaaS, Internet Infrastructure, Digital Platforms, Telecommunications, Managed Services, or closely related technology sectors Alternatively, early career experience with a leading strategy consulting firm (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Roland Berger, Strategy, Oliver Wyman, etc.) followed by senior leadership roles within technology business Strong understanding of recurring revenue and subscription‑based business model Deep understanding of cloud, hosting, domains, digital infrastructure, or adjacent technology ecosystem Fluent in both Spanish and English Willing to be based on site a minimum of 3 days per week Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience Proven experience leading very large organizations (approximately 300 employees) Strong track record within fast‑paced, agile, technology‑driven environment Experience leading large‑scale marketing, commercial, and sales organizations Strong expertise in mass marketing and performance marketing Proven track record of delivering significant revenue, profit, and EBITDA growth Experience working within matrix organizations and international environments Demonstrated success in business scaling and transformation Education Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, Economics, or a related field MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred Soft Skills & Cultural Fit Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong can‑do attitude Highly hands‑on and operational; not a purely strategic leader Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable with ambiguity Strong commercial mindset with excellent business judgment Collaborative, low‑ego team player Inspirational leader with proven people development capabilities Customer‑centric and growth‑oriented Innovation‑driven with a continuous improvement mindset Strong communicator with exceptional stakeholder management skills Results‑oriented and execution‑focused Nice to Have Previous General Manager, Managing Director, Country Manager, or Business Unit Leader experience Experience in Private Equity‑backed or high‑growth technology business German language skills Experience working across multiple international locations Exposure to M&A integration or post‑merger transformation projects Experience within highly digital customer acquisition businesses #J-18808-Ljbffr
