Engineering Team Leader – Medical Devices Location: Rugby HQ Salary: Competitive + Benefits Type: Full-Time, Permanent Are you an experienced engineering leader with a background in medical devices or other regulated industries? We’re looking for an Engineering Team Leader to join our growing team at our Rugby headquarters, 3D-Aesthetics. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in the development, commissioning, and ongoing support of innovative medical devices, used in healthcare settings worldwide. What You’ll Be Doing • Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team (mechanical, electronic, software) responsible for product testing, commissioning and ongoing in field support / liaising with the manufacturer for support., • Oversee commissioning of new devices, ensuring they are properly installed, validated, and transitioned into clinical environments., • Provide technical support to field service engineers, assisting with complex issues and ensuring effective resolution of in-field problems., • Support servicing and maintenance of devices, both in-house and in collaboration with field-based teams., • Ensure compliance with medical device standards and regulations (e.g. ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 60601)., • Deliver projects on time and within budget, from concept through to production and post-market support., • Drive continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and corrective actions related to product performance or service issues., • Collaborate cross-functionally with quality, regulatory, production, and customer service teams to ensure smooth product lifecycle management. What We’re Looking For Essential: • Degree in Engineering or proven experience in service, (Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical or related discipline)., • Proven leadership experience in a regulated industry (preferably medical devices)., • Strong understanding of device development, commissioning, and field servicing., • Experience with ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 60601 and related standards., • Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills. Desirable: • Experience supporting or managing field service teams., • Familiarity with design controls, CE marking, and product labelling., • Knowledge of software-based medical devices or digital health technologies.
