As the Electrical & Mechanical Building Services Technician will report to the Estates Engineering Manager, this role has responsibility for the reliable and compliant operation of the estate wide services and equipment serving all business functions across the European Knowledge Centre at Hatfield. The main purpose is to deliver a high standard of mechanical and electrical services throughout the business, within the estates engineering team. Qualification in either: • Electrical engineering, equivalent (BS7671 & C&G 2391), • Mechanical engineering (full-term apprenticeship), • Good verbal and written English skills. Desirable • Educated to ONC/HNC Essential • Use of computer (Windows operating system), • Good awareness of Health and Safety, • Multi-Skilled in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, • Experience in domestic and low temperature hot water systems (LTHW)., • Motor controls and relay logic, • AHU’s, FCU’s and chilled water systems, • Working knowledge of “Safe systems of work”., • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics and equipment manuals., • To be flexible, as occasionally the need will arise to work outside standard office hours., • Experience of CMMS and BMS systems. BMS Service Engineer (Mobile) - London & South East (Majority Inside M25) An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced BMS Service Engineer to join our client, a leading building services company, working across London and the South East. The majority of work will be based in London and within the M25, with some travel required across the wider South East region. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' experience working with BMS systems such as Trend, Delta, Johnsons or Tridium (minimum 2 required). Strong knowledge of MCC panels, control panel wiring diagrams, and supervisors such as Trend 963 and/or IQ vision software is essential. A good understanding of electrical systems, mechanical plant operation, and control strategies is also required. Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to participate in the call-out rota. The role will involve working as part of a mobile team covering multiple sites, carrying out a range of planned and reactive BMS maintenance duties.
