Our clients include Local Authorities, Network Rail, energy companies and environmental organisations. • Highways & Roads, • Under bridges, Overbridges & Footbridges, • Tunnels & Station Infrastructure, • Flood Alleviation & Repairs, • Earthworks & Embankments, • Lineside Civils, Cabling, Trough Routes & Telecoms The Senior Estimator will be responsible for estimating contracts and projects during the pre-contract/tender stage for a range of civil engineering projects including sectors such as rail, aviation, power & utilities and Environment Agency projects in the North West region. This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy and fast-paced work-winning team involved in multi-disciplinary civils projects across a variety of sectors. • Effective registration, control, and administration of tender documentation, • Preparation and management of tenders from receipt of documents through to delivery, • Presentation of tenders to senior management at tender review meetings, • Liaison with the Supply Chain team in respect of placing supplier/subcontractor enquiries, • Technical and commercial appraisal of construction labour, plant, materials, and temporary works, • Take-offs from drawings and production of cost-effective tenders from first principles, • Effective analysis and pricing of risks, • Preparation of tender submission documents, • Preparation of estimating reports, • Providing assistance to proposals and contract management functions, • Previous experience as a Senior Estimator in multi-disciplinary civil engineering sectors such as rail, highways, aviation, and/or utilities and power, • First Principles Estimating experience, • Civil engineering project experience, • Experience as a Senior Estimator in a civil engineering contractor organisation, • Working knowledge of Excel (& Word) and estimating software, • Competitive annual salary negotiable dependant on experience, • Company Car or Car Allowance, • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (increasing with service), • Up to 3 volunteer days, • Company contributory Pension scheme, • Life Insurance, • Medicash Health Cash Plan & Rewards, • Support and employee infrastructure embedded in the business as a platform for personal and professional development creating pathways for unrivalled career development and progression opportunities internally., • Internal development programmes dedicated to supporting the development of our colleagues and future business leaders including Purposeful Leadership, Women in leadership and much more., • Consistent learning opportunities, • A safe place to work, • Employee forums that provide a platform for having your voice heard You will be joining a reputable and firmly established, engineering contractor operating nationally in rail, civils and engineering markets.
