To efficiently manage the field operations including controlling sub-contractors day-to-day operations and ensuring that material supplies are available in conjunction with the Site Manager. Assist the Site Manager in the planning and programming of site activities ensuring the work is completed in a safe manner. Deputise for the Site Manager where necessary and managing quality standards to meet customer expectations. Organisation and Control of labour and sub-contractors • Completion of weekly planning sheets to ensure the overall build programme is met., • Provide direction to individual contractors and contractormanagement to ensure quality standards are met., • Ensure all site personnel comply with the Construction Health and Safety Regulations 1974 as amended together with the Taylor Wimpey Health and Safety Procedures Manual., • Carry out frequent inspection of all operations to ensure they are carried out in a safe manner., • Ensure all operatives are working to the method statements and risk assessments submitted by the relevant sub-contractors or Taylor Wimpey management., • Liaise on a daily basis with the Sales Executive regarding customer options and variations., • Liaise with the Sales Executive, Buying Department and sub-contractors regarding the supply and installation of customer choices., • Plan and arrange visits of National House Builders Council inspection to carry out stage inspections., • Plan and arrange with Local Authority statutory services to carry out stage inspections., • Assist the site manager in completion of the Home Quality Inspection (HQI), prior to Customer Relations Manager HQI sign off inspection., • Ensure that at legal completion the house is defect free, clean and ready for occupation, inclusive of all items identified at Home Quality Inspection, • Assist the Site Manager and Customer Relations Manager if required, in regular visits to customers post legal completion to ensure the customers satisfaction with their new home., • Undertake regular inspection of each property during each stage of the build process and complete snagging lists, • Ensure that requisite waste disposal skips and tip skips are available., • Ensure that sub-contractors and direct labour separate waste in accordance with Company policy Internal Works Assistant Site Manager to take a leading role in delivering the internal works programme on a major high‑rise RC frame residential development. Excel at driving progress, coordinating trades, and presenting high‑quality homes at handover stage, this role is for you. Internal Works Programme Delivery • Drive the internal programme across all floors/plots, ensuring sequencing from 1st fix → 2nd fix → final finishes remains on track., • Produce and update short‑term lookaheads to keep trades aligned with programme targets., • Coordinate all internal trades — drylining, M&E, plumbing, carpentry, tiling, decorations and specialist packages — ensuring smooth interfaces and zero delays., • Identify risks early and implement corrective actions to maintain programme flow., • Conduct daily walk‑throughs to verify works meet drawings, specifications and finish quality standards., • Challenge poor workmanship immediately and manage snagging/de‑snagging ahead of critical dates., • Lead the final stages: pre-handover inspections, snag clearance, sparkle cleans, client demonstrations and certification readiness., • Coordinate with M&E teams for commissioning access, testing sign‑offs and final documentation., • Prepare plots for internal QA, client QA, and warranty provider inspections, ensuring a seamless sign‑off process., • Coordinate deliveries, waste management and floor protection to keep internal areas safe, clean and productive., • Keep accurate daily records, progress photos, checklists and readiness reports to support programme forecasting and handover documentation., • Flag delays, constraints and resource issues early with clear, solution‑focused communication., • Trade background, • NVQ Residential Construction Site Supervision L4, • Detailed knowledge of building process, including NHBC and Building Regulations, • First aid qualified, • CSCS card holder at Manager/Supervisor level At Taylor Wimpey, we are committed to enabling you to make a home with us.
