As our team continues to grow, we are looking for a Field Service & Technical Support Technician to join our UK team in Birstall, Leeds. About the role At Sanipex Group, we are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Field Service & Technical Support Technician to join our UK team. This is a dynamic, hands-on role combining field-based technical expertise with workshop repairs and cross-functional support. You will travel nationwide to diagnose and resolve plumbing and electrical faults on company products, supporting installers, contractors, and end users with installation guidance and technical advice. From conducting detailed root cause analysis and completing comprehensive service reports, to managing warranty cases in line with company policy, you will play a key role in protecting product quality and brand reputation. The role also involves workshop-based repairs and refurbishment of returned goods, assisting with product testing and quality checks, preparing Bills of Materials and production orders, and carrying out drilling or modification of ceramic basins and components. Working closely with the Technical Manager, Commercial Manager, and Sales Team, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, provide technical input on product queries, and support exhibitions, showroom updates, and internal projects as required. Flexibility is essential, as the role requires nationwide travel, occasional overnight stays, and the ability to respond to short-notice service visits while maintaining company vehicle, tools, and uniform to a professional standard. About you You are a qualified plumbing professional with recognised certification and strong hands-on experience in plumbing and bathroom installations, complemented by solid electrical competency (18th Edition preferred or demonstrable practical experience). You have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the technician role. You have proven experience diagnosing, repairing, and resolving product faults, with the confidence to work independently and manage your workload effectively across multiple sites. Technically sharp and solutions-focused, you are comfortable fault-finding across mechanical and electrical systems and producing clear, detailed technical reports using Outlook, Excel, and reporting systems. You are a strong communicator who can confidently represent the Sanipex brand, build trust with customers, and collaborate effectively with internal teams. A full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel nationwide are essential.
