Job Description As a Deskside Support engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining an organisation's computer systems and hardware. Your duties include diagnosing hardware or software faults and resolving issues either in person or remotely. This role covers multiple clients and sites, so a driving license and vehicle are required. The areas covered are Enfield, London, and Medway. Language Requirements The minimum CEFR level of English needed for this role is B2. Role Requirements We seek a customer-focused and enthusiastic desk-side technician with a genuine interest in solving IT issues. The candidate should be technically competent, possess excellent written and face-to-face communication skills, and be willing to collaborate with the wider Global IT support teams. Daily activities include resolving a variety of laptop software and hardware issues, while minimizing disruption to users. IT Technical Skills At least 3-5 years of IT experience in an ITIL environment Providing 1st and 2nd level support for laptops/desktops Monitoring call management systems, including continuous updates and closure of resolved calls Strictly meeting all Service Level Agreements Adhering to all policies and procedures set by the customer Supporting Walk-in Service Centre, installs, breakfix, refresh, training rooms, conference rooms/AV support as required Troubleshooting Office Software issues, including support for common software problems within the Office Suite Providing proactive support to customers Participating in project-based assignments as required Participating in hardware/OS refresh activities following strict PC refresh schedules Documenting and updating processes and procedures Participating in maintenance schedules, logging, and resolving issues Attending all team meetings Good asset management skills Soft Skills High customer service orientation Ability to interact and de-escalate with others effectively Strong team player with autonomous and proactive working behavior Motivated with a willingness to learn and perform Friendly and confident demeanor Strong time management skills What We Offer Competitive compensation Pension scheme DXC Select benefits package (including private health/medical insurance, gym membership, and more) Perks at Work discounts on technology, groceries, travel, and more DXC incentives Interested?
