ROLE PURPOSE Based at Villa Park, the overall purpose of a Senior Sous Chef is to serve as a key leader in the kitchen, supporting the Head Chef in maintaining exceptional culinary standards and operational efficiency. This role will play a vital part in delivering food that fuels the ambitions of Aston Villa Football Club - from supporting the performance needs of players, to creating outstanding hospitality experiences for fans, guests, and partners on matchdays and events. KEY RESPONSIBILTIES: • Menu Planning and Development: Collaborate with the Head Chef to design and develop balanced, nutritious menus tailored for players, staff, and Villa Park hospitality guests., • Food Preparation and Cooking: Supervise and participate in the preparation and cooking of meals, ensuring they meet the highest standards expected at a Premier League club., • Team Supervision and Development: Lead and mentor the kitchen team, supporting growth and cohesion in a fast-paced sporting environment., • Quality Control: Maintain consistency in food quality and presentation, reinforcing the high standards associated with Aston Villa and Levy UK&I., • Inventory and Stock Management: Assist in managing ordering and stock control to ensure smooth operations across both matchdays and non-matchday events., • Cost Management: Help manage budgets and food costs, sourcing ingredients responsibly while supporting both quality and sustainability commitments., • Health and Safety Compliance: Uphold health, hygiene, and safety standards across all Villa Park kitchens., • Event Catering Support: Assist in planning and delivering catering for matchdays, private events, and club functions, ensuring a memorable experience for fans, guests, and stakeholders., • Collaboration with Nutritionists: Work with club nutritionists and sports scientists to design menus that enhance player performance and recovery., • Positive Dining Experience: Help create enjoyable dining experiences for players, staff, and Villa Park visitors, reflecting the pride and tradition of Aston Villa., • Culinary Innovation: Introduce fresh ideas and techniques to keep menus exciting, innovative, and relevant for both performance and hospitality., • Operational Efficiency: Ensure efficient kitchen operations to meet the demands of a busy Premier League football environment., • Performance & Wellness Support: Directly support the health and wellness objectives of Aston Villa Football Club through nutrition-focused meals.
