Senior Chef de Partie Location: Pentonbridge Inn Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Hours: Minimum 40 hours per week Salary: £30,500 per year Accommodation: Live-in available Key Requirements Previous experience as a Senior Chef de Partie or experienced Chef de Partie in a Rosette-level fine dining kitchen Passion for producing exceptional, modern cuisine using fresh ingredients Ability to run all kitchen sections confidently Experience supervising and developing junior chefs Positive attitude with excellent organisational and communication skills Ability to reliably commute to Carlisle (live-in accommodation available) About the Role We are looking for a passionate and talented Senior Chef de Partie to join the brigade at our stunning fine dining restaurant in Carlisle. Working with fresh, seasonal ingredients, you'll play a key role in delivering outstanding modern cuisine while supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen. Michelin experience is advantageous but not essential-what matters most is your enthusiasm, commitment to excellence and passion for food. Key Responsibilities Take ownership of kitchen sections, ensuring exceptional standards at all times Prepare and produce dishes using fresh, high-quality ingredients Assist with menu development and implementation Train, mentor and support junior chefs Monitor stock levels and ensure effective stock control Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, organisation and food safety Supervise junior team members and ensure company standards are consistently met Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef with the smooth operation of the kitchen Promote a positive, collaborative and professional working environment Essential Requirements Previous experience in a Rosette-level fine dining kitchen Experience as a Senior Chef de Partie or strong Chef de Partie ready for the next step Ability to confidently work across all kitchen sections NVQ (or equivalent) in Professional Cookery or Food Preparation Food Hygiene and Health & Safety certification is advantageous Strong leadership and communication skills Positive attitude with excellent attention to detail Flexible approach to working evenings, weekends and holiday cover What We Offer £30,500 per year Immediate start available Live-in accommodation available Opportunity to work in a high-quality fine dining kitchen Ongoing training and career progression opportunities Supportive and professional team environment The chance to contribute to menu development and mentor junior chefs If you're a passionate chef looking to progress your career in an exceptional fine dining environment, we'd love to hear from you.
