Our kitchens and restaurants are places where every team member is heard, supported, respected and encouraged to grow. We are proud of our inclusive culture and the positive energy it brings to our restaurants. If you are excited by the idea of cooking seasonal, ingredient-led food with a team who cares about flavour and hospitality, we would love to hear from you.

    London

Salary - Up to £58,000 per year Schedule - Full Time Experience - Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef within a quality restaurant. Knowledge of Thai or South East Asian cuisine is preferred JKS Restaurants and Plaza Khao Gaeng are seeking a Head Chef to lead their kitchen operations. The successful candidate will have a passion for Thai/Asian cuisine and have previous experience as a Head Chef. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Head Chef looking for a new role in an award winning, critically acclaimed group The Restaurant Plaza Khao Gaeng celebrates Thailand’s coast-to-jungle cooking through the tradition of khao gaeng, broadly translated as “curry over rice”. Expect a kaleidoscope of curries rich with fresh coconut milk, aromatic curry pastes and fermented seasonings, alongside searingly hot stir-fries cooled with fresh herbs - all designed for mixing, matching and sharing. In Thailand, the most popular khao gaeng restaurants expand to fill whatever space they can. Plaza takes inspiration from one such spot in Bangkok, now spread through an old cinema, where curries sit in gleaming trays beneath a faded façade and climb the stairs to the former box office. This is anytime comfort food: a pause from the heat, noise and movement of the street outside. Our third Plaza Khao Gaeng opened in Covent Garden in May, turning to Thailand’s deep south - the historic borderlands of Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat and beyond. Anchored by a large charcoal grill, the menu draws together smoke, spice and acidity in a generous, khao gaeng-style spread made for the table - our most Southern menu yet, inspired by rural kitchens. The Position As Head Chef, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of consistent, high quality and innovative dishes and specials; you will play a key role in menu development, working closely with the Group Exec Chef and Chef Director. You will manage the overall kitchen operation, including prep schedules, stock control, budgeting and maintenance, as well as the day to day management of the kitchen team. If you have the following, then we want to hear from you: • Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high quality restaurant;, • Strong awareness of trends and seasonality of produce;, • A passion and knowledge of Thai or South East Asian cuisine;, • A highly creative approach to your work with excellent attention to detail;, • Proven ability to manage, train and motivate a kitchen brigade;, • Experience in managing staff costs, scheduling and reviewing staff rotas;, • Strengths in finances, purchasing and menu costing;, • A working knowledge of health and safety, compliance and procedures; This is a very exciting opportunity not to be missed for a talented Head Chef eager to join a restaurant group with ambitious plans. 👟 Flexible Shoe Cleaning Assistant – £2 Per Pair | Side Hustle Hi! I’m Hana, I’m 21 and have been running my pre-owned shoe business for around 6 years alongside university. As I’m returning to university soon and go through a lot of shoes, I’m looking for a reliable local person to help clean batches of shoes when needed. 🧽 The Job You’ll collect batches of shoes from my home, take them home to clean, and return them once finished. I provide the cleaning supplies and will show you exactly how I clean the shoes and the standard I expect, so no previous experience is needed. The shoes need to be properly and thoroughly cleaned — not just given a quick wipe. Some pairs will be relatively easy, while others will be dirtier and require more scrubbing, patience and time. I understand that some stains, discolouration and signs of wear simply cannot be removed. I don’t expect perfection or for excessive time to be spent trying to remove permanent marks. However, I do expect a genuine effort and good-quality clean on every pair, while taking care not to damage different materials. If a pair has clearly not been cleaned to the standard I’ve demonstrated, I will ask for it to be cleaned again before payment for that pair. 💷 Pay & Workload £2 per pair – fixed rate. For example: 10 pairs = £20 20 pairs = £40 30 pairs = £60 50 pairs = £100 The amount of work will vary. One batch could be 10 pairs, another 30 or 50+, and some weeks I may not have any shoes that need cleaning. Please treat this as a flexible side hustle rather than guaranteed regular employment. I will contact you whenever I have a batch ready. Please do not rely on a certain number of pairs or regularly pressure me for the next batch — I will message you when I need your help. 🚗 Collection & Return You will need to collect the shoes from my home and return them once cleaned, so please consider the travelling involved before applying. Having access to a car would be ideal. Shoes must also be returned by the agreed time. I will count each batch before collection and when it is returned. ⭐ What I Expect • Reliable, trustworthy and good communication, • Good attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions, • Quality and care rather than rushing, • Cleaning products used sensibly without unnecessary waste, • Shoes collected and returned as agreed, • Every pair given a genuine, thorough clean Everyone will begin with a small paid trial batch so we can both see whether the arrangement works well. I’m hiring someone to save me time while I’m at university, so I’m looking for someone who can work independently and consistently without creating extra work for me. If you’re happy with the £2-per-pair rate, variable workload, travelling to collect/return the shoes, and the cleaning standard expected, I’d love to hear from you. 😊 Thank you!
