    We are now looking for Kitchen Porters to join the team at Street Burger – Reading. Street Burger - Reading, situated in the heart of Reading town centre by the Riverside at The Oracle Shopping Centre, serves up the best burgers, seasoned fries and indulgent desserts, alongside amazing shakes, cheeky cocktails and more. The humble yet magnificent burger has long time been a part of our restaurant menus. The first Street Burger was born in St Paul’s, London and now we’re growing. Our concept and menu is simple and inviting: honest priced burgers with bags of flavour. From the iconic Hell’s Kitchen to the mighty G.F.C. Full throttle. Full flavour. Always.     About the Role We are seeking a motivated and reliable Shop Supervisor to support the day-to-day operation of our busy fuel station and convenience store. The successful candidate will supervise retail staff, ensure excellent customer service standards, oversee sales activities and support smooth store operations whilst maintaining company procedures and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities • Supervise day-to-day activities of retail assistants and shop staff during shifts., • Allocate duties and monitor staff performance to ensure operational efficiency., • Ensure high standards of customer service and resolve customer queries or complaints professionally., • Monitor sales activities and support achievement of store sales targets and business objectives., • Assist with staff scheduling, shift allocation and attendance monitoring., • Supervise cash handling procedures, till operations and end-of-shift reconciliations., • Monitor stock levels and coordinate stock replenishment activities to maintain product availability., • Ensure accurate pricing, product displays and merchandising standards throughout the store., • Oversee receipt of deliveries, stock rotation and inventory control procedures., • Support training and induction of new staff members., • Ensure compliance with company policies relating to health and safety, food hygiene, age-restricted sales and fuel station procedures., • Maintain cleanliness, presentation and safety standards across both the convenience store and forecourt areas., • Assist management in implementing operational improvements and maintaining efficient store performance., • Prepare operational reports and communicate business updates to management where required., • Respond promptly to operational issues to minimise disruption to store activities. Skills & Experience Required • Previous experience within retail or similar sales related role., • Experience supervising staff or leading teams., • Good communication and customer service skills., • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment., • Experience handling cash, stock management and retail operations., • Flexible approach to working shifts, weekends and busy trading periods., • Good organisational and problem-solving abilities.
