Area Sales Manager Midlands, North West, & Mid/North Wales Heavy Mobile Material Handling Competitive base salary + £10,800 car allowance + £10,000 year one guaranteed commission + uncapped commission – OTE annually Circa £75k plus inc car allowance. A great opportunity for a driven sales professional to take ownership of a high potential region selling heavy mobile tyred equipment into industrial, logistics, freight, and port environments. This role suits someone who enjoys developing new business, building long term relationships and managing a longer sales cycle. A global OEM and market leader in the supply of heavy material handling equipment such as Reach Stackers and FLT’s over 6 tonnes. You will focus on high value new equipment sales supported by service contract opportunities. The region includes the Midlands, the North West, and mid to north Wales. We are looking for an Area Sales Manager living on patch with good access across the region. You will work mostly remotely, with regional meetings in the Midlands from time to time. Early stages may require a residential stay for onboarding. The role • Develop new business across industrial, manufacturing, logistics, ports and terminals, • Re engage dormant accounts and grow existing relationships, • Map the territory, identify prospects and build a strong pipeline, • Conduct site visits, assess customer needs and propose suitable equipment, • Manage pricing discussions within agreed authority levels, • Maintain accurate activity and forecasting through CRM, • Monitor competitor activity and market trends, • Work closely with internal engineering, service and leadership teams What good looks like • A hunter mindset with the resilience to work long sales cycles, • Strong commercial awareness and a consultative approach, • Stable career history and commitment to building a region over time, • Confident communicator who can build trust at all levels, • Comfortable working independently and managing a large territory What you’ll need • Experience in heavy plant, material handling, technical, industrial or capital equipment sales, • Strong relationship building and influencing skills, • Good IT literacy and CRM discipline, • A positive, self motivated approach, • Knowledge of materials handling or heavy tyred equipment is beneficial Package • Competitive base salary aligned to your experience, • Car allowance £9,000 plus £1,800 high mileage allowance, • Year one guaranteed commission of £2,500 per quarter, • Commission per machine sold, with double payments for new customers, • Uncapped earnings potential OTE, including car allowance in the region of £75k If you enjoy developing a region, winning new customers and selling high value technical equipment in a solution oriented business, this role offers strong long term potential.
