We are recruiting a Management Accountant to join our finance team of six and play a key role in month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting and business performance analysis. Key Responsibilities • Prepare single entity management accounts for larger companies within the Group, • Deliver month-end reporting to the five-day deadline, • Produce payroll, including starters, leavers, deductions and additions, • Prepare payroll reports and oversee associates pay, • Supervise junior staff involved in payroll preparation, • Provide clear and insightful financial analysis, • Participate in monthly risks and opportunities reviews, • Work with cost centre managers to understand key variances, • Develop and maintain cost centre and headcount reporting, • Build budgets and forecasts for assigned cost centres, • Produce meaningful commentary and next-step recommendations, • Challenge assumptions and help embed strong financial controls, • Improve reporting quality, consistency and impact, • Support transactional processing where required About You Essential Experience • Proven experience producing month-end management accounts, • Strong experience building budgeting and forecasting models (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow), • Advanced Excel capability, • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into meaningful insight, • Experience interpreting large amounts of financial and operational information, • Ability to become a subject matter expert in ERP and accountancy systems Personal Qualities • Naturally inquisitive and willing to challenge constructively, • Excellent communication skills, • Able to take full ownership of workload and deliver to deadlines, • Confident explaining financial information to non-finance colleagues, • Proactive, self-motivated and able to work independently, • Studying towards, or wanting to start - CIMA or ACCA (full study support provided) Job Type: Full-time Work Location: In person Benefits: • Company events, • Cycle to work scheme, • Employee discount, • Free parking, • Referral programme
