The Role The Mechanical Project Lead will take full responsibility for the mechanical package from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover. Working as part of a high-performing project team, they will oversee design coordination, procurement, subcontractor management, programme delivery, quality assurance, and commercial performance. Key responsibilities include: • Leading and coordinating all mechanical elements of the project, • Managing subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality, • Driving programme performance in line with project milestones, • Overseeing technical submissions, RFIs, and design development in collaboration with consultants, • Ensuring compliance with health & safety and building regulations, • Supporting commercial teams with cost control, valuations, and change management, • Managing commissioning activities and ensuring successful project handover The Candidate The successful candidate will be a proven Mechanical Project Lead (or a Senior Mechanical Project Manager ready to step up) with experience delivering large-scale commercial, mixed-use, or residential developments for a reputable main contractor or leading M&E contractor.
