    Groomer London is a busy Ukrainian-owned dog and cat grooming salon in Kensington, and we are looking for a friendly, confident and reliable receptionist to join our team. This is a customer-facing role, so we need someone who is comfortable communicating with clients in person, over the phone and through messages. The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive and able to stay calm in a busy salon environment. Main responsibilities: • Welcoming clients and their pets into the salon, • Managing appointments, phone calls and client messages, • Taking payments and assisting with general reception duties, • Monitoring salon stock and making sure all products and supplies are available, • Keeping the reception area and salon clean, tidy and presentable, • Supporting the groomers with general salon tasks when required, • Occasionally helping to safely hold a dog or cat during grooming, • Making sure the salon runs smoothly throughout the day We are looking for someone who: • Is friendly, confident and professional, • Is reliable, responsible and well organised, • Has a flexible approach to working hours and can provide additional cover when needed, including working five or six consecutive days during occasional busy or cover periods, • Is comfortable working in a fast-paced and busy environment, • Genuinely loves animals and feels confident around both dogs and cats, • Is willing to help the team and does not mind completing practical tasks, • Has good communication and customer service skills, • Takes initiative and notices what needs to be done without always being asked Previous experience in reception, customer service, animal care or a grooming salon would be helpful, but it is not essential. You do not need to have detailed knowledge of dog and cat breeds, as full training will be provided. We are a close-knit Ukrainian team and are looking for someone positive, caring and dependable who would like to become an important part of our salon.
