You'll lead associated site team including, engineering teams and subcontractors to successful completion of works. We'll ask you to produce short term programmes from the Contract Programme and communicate it with the wider team. Be responsible for recording the asbuilt information and change items. Monitor site activities against target programmes reporting exceptions in outputs, delays etc. You'll be responsible for ensuring change on site is identified and recorded in line with the NEC contract conditions. Whilst supporting the site engineering teams and provide guidance. Monitor all works activities to ensure that they meet the Works Specification and are being delivered in a safe manner following the principles of our behavioural based safety initiative, It Starts With Me. We would expect you to complete a site diary, organise and deliver site inductions and daily briefings, keep good site records and ensure all subcontractors and operatives have the relevant documentation to start work safely. You will take responsibility for end-to-end project management, including programme and budget control, risk management and contractual administration. Experience in the practical application of the NEC4 suite of contracts will be advantageous in supporting collaborative delivery and commercial awareness. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors, build strong client relationships, lead Safety in Design in accordance with CDM regulations, and ensure compliance with environmental legislation and best practice. Strong technical experience in civil engineering design is essential, particularly in earthworks, drainage design, retaining structures and headwalls. Experience in natural flood management, sustainable urban drainage systems, scour assessments for highways or rail structures, hydraulic modelling and Flood Risk Assessment would be beneficial. An interest in coding or parametric modelling tools such as Python or Dynamo would also be welcomed. The role will involve site visits across the UK, including occasional overnight stays. You will hold a degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline and a full UK driving licence. You will ideally be Chartered, or approaching professional review, with a relevant professional body such as the Institution of Civil Engineers. You’ll work closely with the Commercial Manager and lead a team of engineers, helping drive quality delivery while mentoring junior staff, grads, and apprentices.
