Job Title: Junior Business Development Manager - Buy to Let (BTL)\n\nLocation: West London\n Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum\n Work Arrangement: Fully Office Based\n Employment Type: Permanent\n\nAbout the Role\n\nA West London-based financial institution is seeking a Junior Business Development Manager - Buy to Let (BTL) to join its Intermediary Services team. This role will focus on sourcing, developing, and managing Buy-to-Let mortgage business through broker and intermediary channels while delivering a seamless end-to-end customer experience.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious BTL professional looking to grow their career in business development within a structured, office-based environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDeliver a high level of service to brokers and customers, encouraging them to place Buy-to-Let business\n\nProactively self-generate new business within targeted markets\n\nAchieve individual and organisational sales targets through active participation in sales management activities\n\nBuild and maintain strong broker relationships, keeping them informed of products, lending criteria, and key features\n\nArrange and attend business meetings, networking events, and industry functions to promote brand awareness and identify new opportunities\n\nUndertake networking activities, including outside normal working hours where required, to build strong relationships with brokers, networks, and stakeholders\n\nAct as a key account manager for allocated mortgage brokers and networks\n\nManage the business pipeline effectively through diarising, follow-ups, and lead management\n\nSupport brokers with case submissions, ensuring quality and accuracy of applications\n\nSet and manage broker and customer expectations, encouraging repeat business\n\nIntroduce new brokers and networks to expand market presence\n\nEnsure full compliance with internal policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements\n\nMaintain accurate administration, reporting, communication, and liaison\n\nUndertake additional responsibilities as delegated by line management\n\nSkills & Experience Required\n\nProven relationship management and business development capability\n\nTrack record of meeting or exceeding sales targets\n\nExperience in Retail lending products, particularly Buy-to-Let mortgages (commercial lending exposure advantageous)\n\nGood understanding of the mortgage marketplace and intermediary environment\n\nExperience building and maintaining a client base through internal and external networks\n\nAbility to work effectively with internal stakeholders including Products, Underwriting, Intermediary Business Delivery, and Credit Administration\n\nUnderstanding of the regulatory environment and its impact on mortgage business\n\nPersonal Attributes\n\nStrong business development and proposal skills\n\nSelf-motivated and able to work on own initiative\n\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills\n\nMethodical, tactical, and sales-focused approach\n\nEntrepreneurial mindset with a collaborative working style\n\nAdaptable and comfortable working in a fast-changing environment\n\nWhy Apply?\n\nThis permanent, fully office-based role offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to develop a long-term career in Buy-to-Let business development within a growing and supportive team
